It's good to see Sam Cassell happy again. I hope he does view this as his final destination.

As for Doc, I've been saying all along that:

Strengths include that the players REALLY like him.
Weaknesses include that he's not the best teacher of young players.

I haven't seen much evidence to contradict either part of that.

I think Al, Rondo, West, Allen, Gomes, Powe and baby might have something to say about that!

All played/progressed above expectations (except those of a few c's fans who expect the moon of every player we draft) under Doc.

Veterans like Sam and KG and Allen and PP must be all in heaven and want to play forever if future seasons are anything like this season. The Celtics are completely cruising and won't be dropping off anytime soon. And they are saving their legs in the process and extending their careers.

Probably how Grant Hill feels in his current situation too.

You can't help but feel for KG. If I woke up and had to see Sam's face first thing in the morning, I'd want him gone too.

I know. I can't decide if he looks more like an alien or Gollum from Lord of the Rings. Probably the love-child of the two.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

I believe the best 2nd round pick goes to Portland or someone. Boston will only have two picks.

I think its great news. You resign Sam, let TA go and give Pruitt TA's minutes.
Free your mind and your a** will follow
