Bibby Disses Perk

Post#1 » by Spin Move » Fri Apr 25, 2008 2:40 am

"Yesterday, Mike Bibby was actually the type to pile on. After hearing what Kendrick Perkins had to say about his comments ("If you had a 2-for-10 shooting night, you'll say something like that, too.") he aligned his crosshairs on the Celtics center. "I don't know where he all of a sudden got this tough streak from," Bibby said before the game. "His stat line was worse than mine. I haven't really seen him do much in his career. So until he does something or shows me something, I really don't think he should say anything."

Wow, somthing tells me Bibby is going to take some punishment when he comes through the lane, I am not condoning it, just saying its gonna happen.

Bibby is right, half of the fans their are bandwagon fans. My friend and I got to go to 12 games last year, this year, all the good games were gone in the first 2 minutes they went on sale. Only got 2 games, pisses me off.

No offense, but that is a dumb answer. Of course more fans will want to see a winning team. But the Celtics have had a loyal fanbase since 1946.

Perk needs to shut his mouth, he's not that good, and I don't care what Mike Bibby says about the fans, Kendrick Perkins needs to keep quiet. KG realizes trash talking in the media is (Please Use More Appropriate Word), Paul Pierce realizes this, Ray Allen realizes this, even Rajon Rondo realizes this...Perk doesn't, and he's the worst starter on Boston.

Perk-learn how to catch a pass and finish around the basket without getting it blocked or turning it over before you open your mouth. And STOP winding up like Mark Blount when you get the ball, go up like a smart Al Jefferson would, and lay the ball in.

I never understand any infatuation with Kendrick Perkins.

What makes Mike "Mr. Accomplished" Bibby think that you need to have won something to respond to an idiotic statement?

I think Perk has every right to stick up for the fans. Bibby is just jealous that he's not a Celtic.

There was no need for Bibby to start this because its not like its going to spark his team to do anything. He should just shut his mouth and collect his money.

I'm actually glad Perk said that, and I wouldn't mind him keep going back and forth. Someone needs to be intimidating on the team. I bet Bibby will think about it when he drives on Perk, cause a block would sure look ugly after all this. Someone needs to stand up to these retards. Let Perk be that guy. Just sucks that he's not the greatest player to be talking, but whatever.

Now, Bibby does have a point, he just shoulda kept it for himself.

And I love how he rips on us for last year when Sacramento came in here... hey Bibby, was someone missing from this boxscore?

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=270119002

Way to get owned by Delonte West.... And need a 10 point comeback to beat a PP-less Celtic squad. What a douche.

Mr Perk just needs to keep doing just what he's been doing. He's just fine. Mr. Perk then needs to tap Mr. Bibby on the head when he enters into his space once or twice and Mr.Bibby will close his pie hole. Just tap him when it's just the right time. 8)

I know how you feel but wouldnt u rather see 2 games with a great team than 12 games with an awful team? Winning brings bandwagon jumpers but the bottom line is that youre winning.

And Ive always seen Perk as tough and he does what he needs to do, he might not score 30 points every night but on a team qith guys like KG Pierce and Ray we really dont need him to.

Dude, regardless of what you think about Perk, you can't hate on him for sticking up for the fans, especially when WE ARE THE FANS. I mean WTF? I won't even go into sticking up for Perk, who I am a huge fan of, because you obviously aren't seeing what I'm seeing in his game, but Perk put a mild jab in on someone who was straight talking **** about the Celtic Nation (regardless of his reasons, I thought it was a motivation thing from the minute I heard it), and your hating on him like this? C'mon.
