Any Chance Pierce Somehow Got Injured?

Post#1 » by gpguy25 » Tue Apr 29, 2008 6:21 am

I mean I'm not trying to make any excuses here the Hawks played great. But Paul has been missing a lot around the basketball and that layup late in the game that he missed made me wonder. It could be possible he has slight pain and trying to play through it, but he just doesn't seem the same.

that's been my thought the past few days too...how do you go from being the number one defensive team in the league and playing excellent man to man coverage, and all of a sudden switch it up in games 3 and 4 and play zone and feel the need to double team guys? paul's back has GOT to still be hurting him from the body slam that joe johnson put on him in the first 2 minutes of game 3. we had total control defensively and offensively the first two games, and were looking to follow suit in game 3, and then paul went down with the back strain.

he can say he's 100% all day long, but i choose to disagree with that notion.

I doubt it.

I think Doc needs to let Pierce do his thing a little bit more. Pierce needs to stop trying to be everything for this team and be the scorer that he is. If there's one man that can sink a team almost single handedly on the Celtics it's Pierce.

Just let Pierce get his mojo going a bit.
Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...

I agree. What Joe Johnson did the other night is penuts compared to what Paul can do. Paul could do that for an entire half if he was on. I think we need to unleash some of that. Set up pick and roll situations with him and KG, with Ray on the weakside waiting for the dagger.
