I definately support the Shaq trade. Marion was overrated, he's a stat stuffer but he doesn't make an impact on the offensive end and he was a cancer.
Shaq makes the Suns much more balanced. They are much better rebounding, especially on the offensive glass. Amare has been much better with Shaq since he gets to play his natural position, in fact the whole team was better. I would rather face the Marion Suns than the Shaq Suns. The Suns will be back next year, and they'll be good, assuming the cheap ownership doesn't destroy the team over the offseason to save a few bucks.
The real problem with the Suns is Nash, he just can't play any semblance of defence.
Who wants to defend the Shaq trade now?

The Suns were acting like the Gaston C's - I agree with that sentiment. they didn't want to shell out some money for a decent free agent big - as it might put them over the gap. So they take on cap garbage like Shaq. It's much like the Vin Baker trade..

Ummm, no. They wanted to get rid of Marcus Banks. Regarding Shaq's contract it may sound ridiculous, but the trade was financially motivated, too. Marion wanted an extension, and it wasn't a cheap one. And Banks bound many millions between roster spot 9 and 12.
