champions take tough shots...champions demand the ball...kg stayed back and let Rondo of all ppl shoot it...he isn't pathetic but he seems to be lacking in the heart and will to win area...he's supposedly a top 5 player in the league and he doesn't want to take the game winning shot?

agree'd. Ive watched Kev for many years and he always had that problem. I never understood why, I honestly think its the way he plays? But your guess is as good as mine, but I wouldn't question garnetts heart in that situation, I think it is simply nerves. I no its not a leader type of characteristic, but hey thats why we got ray and pp.

I agree that KG passed up a few shots in the 4th that resulted in TOs. We need KG to be aggressive in the 4th but he disappeared.

What is this whole thing about him being a punk have to do with him not forcing jumpers?

a punk is a petty gangster...or a man used as a homosexual partner in prison...he fits those definitions...talks too much, like he's a gangster or a man to be dealt with, and then ends up just a punk...see what I am saying...he's a punk...Bird was a gangster....

he shouldnt let nerves affect him...he always does this in crunch time he defers to the next player when he should be the man of the play...he fears failure and plays like it in crunch time...u cant be a champion if u r afraid to fail...how u deal with fear is what separates the losers from the winners...ray isnt the man he's too quiet and pp talks too much and shoots to get calls not to hit the shot....kg has to define this series and himself as the man so far he hasnt and from the looks of it he won't.

I hear ya man, Ive said it since I started cheering for him. I hate it and I no its the reason KG hasnt made some progress in the playoffs, I just figured it would not bite him in the ass this year with people like Pierce and Allen out there. But I guess its coming back to haunt him. :banghead:

Its not that KG is a "punk" as you would put it, its the way he plays his offensive game (its not really the best go to guy type of offense). Dont get me wrong, ive seen him play amazing in some very big games (game 7 03-04 for example). Tonight was just a good example of how you really want him to take over, but he lets you down. I've seen it before, and ill see it again. But blaming this one on him is not right, when its obvious that the team played like bitches.

It's pretty clear guys. The Big 3 clearly choked and flat out suck. Can't even beat the Hawks on their homecourt in 3 tries! What a joke!

I think it's time, that we give props to Atlanta. They are really protecting their basket in Phillips Arena. Not only Garnett, but also Pierce and Rondo hesitate to take it to the rim against the defense.

Give credit, where credit is due. Our guys got beat in Atlanta, starting with Josh Smith smacking Pierce down in game 3.

And it's not really breaking news that KG is not a good finisher against contact. That has nothing to do with nerves. That's just not his game.
