That sixth foul on Pierce was ridiculous, but I don't think you needed an outside opinion on that.

it might be ridiculous.... but what would possess a player with 5 fouls grab another player with both arms, as a matter of fact, why would a player with zero fouls bear hug another player?

call or no call, i have no clue why some one would try to grab a 7 footer under the basket and out of position.

Pierce had an unlucky streak with fouls all night.

THREE blocking fouls??

The sixth call on Pierce was bizarre to say the least. The Hawks got some calls due to home cooking which is part of the game. You guys will get most of those calls in game 7. Just another reason it's so hard to win on the road.

I think it's important to note that free throw differential is not always a valid determinant when rating officiating. The C's are a jump shooting team and the Hawks' game is predicated on getting to the basket. They will typically shoot more FT's than the C's because of that.

If Childress' shot doesn't go in, Pierce gets called for that foul, no question. Now it's supposed to be a foul no matter what, so technically it was a correct call, but it's easy to see why the Celtics and their fans would be pissed about it since 95% of the time that call's never made on a play where the shot goes in like that.

I agree in a big picture sence that FT differential is not always indicative but we were definitely not shooting a lot of jumpshots yesterday. We were going to the basket alot, and arguably a lot more than you guys were.
