Yeah, Cleveland fans can be pretty intense (and have reallly long memories) but I hope you don't think that Pierce would be in any kind of danger at all. Some of this of course was brought on by himself (I notice that you didn't mention any animus directed towards Garnett or Allen. Fact is, it was Pierce that spit at the Cavs bench. And believe me when I say that Cavs fans remember.

Then his voice is exuberant and loud for the home team starters. I understood... But, it came off tactless to me. I've never noticed any other road team do the same to the Celtics before and I was surprised and turn off by it.

I noticed that, too...also the loud booing accompanying each Celtic player being introduced...I haven't been to a C's game in a few years but apart from the known villains (like Kobe, Iverson, etc) do we or other teams boo EVERYONE on the other team doing intros? Just curious...

They (the AV crew) go overboard in Cleveland, but whatev. I try not to let it irk me, but if i had young children...

That city has such a MONSTER inferiority complex, even when they are good., like now (browns, indians, and cavs are pretty successful now).

That's just flat-out WRONG...

i'm telling you the celtics dont show videos about opponents

ive been to 60+ games including playoffs and never once did they show stupid videos lik that

not like i have a problem with it, but dont say everyteam does that when everyteam doesn't do that

remember the celtics are the best organization in the league we don't have to do thins like that, all we have to do is look up at the banners and know what the deal is

theres a difference between "intense" and just being a pathetic human being, wishing death upon a guy is the latter. all i know is they should look at the Bibby example: dont start nothin, wont be nothin. theyre gettin it goin so dont be upset when your queen starts hearing things he never imagined.

no, this aint a minor league nba city, boston in the playoffs(when the opponent isnt getting blown out) is like no other. we dont need a guy cheerleader yelling the whole game. we know whats going on.

 Just kidding with you guys.

To the OP, Im sorry to hear about your experience at the game. While I dont doubt what you said (although a bit exagerated I believe), I have been to countless Cavs games and the worse things I have ever seen were Cavs fans being too nice to opposing fans.

The trash talking is hardly an isolated incident known to Cleveland. Every stadium I've ever been to I've heard some pretty intense heckling and even some fights breaking out. I went to a game at Yankee stadium with a friend who wore a Sox hat and he had beer dumped on him and things thrown at him all game. I've been to Fenway and heard some of the worst insults imaginable being thrown at Yankee fans who were there. I went to an Indians game at US Cellular in Chicago and White Sox fans not only ribbed me, but also broke out into fights with Cubs fans who were there over which team was better. Trust me, you dont even want to think about going to an Eagles game in Philly or a Browns game if you think what you experienced at the Q was bad. Oh and stay away from any sort of college rivalry as well. OSU/UM, Duke/UNC, etc... are all waaay worse than anything pro related. On top of that, dont ever go to a soccer game in Europe. You want to talk about fearing for your life?

Also, I know it seems in this thread that the Q is now completely classless, but come on... shooting a mascot on the Jumbotron? Do you honestly believe that?

Yes, every game I've been too in Boston has. We're just to lazy to do it loudly for players other then the stars. Talking about our fans, I think we were louder in 2001 run then this year overall. We really need to step it up.

Did anyone else hear there guy cheerleader/PA announcer yelling as soon as the ABC coverage started.

He was like " Were going live on ABC in 5 seconds get up and make some noise Cleveland"

I think those PA guys are the worst thing to happen to the NBA in 10 years, what was the 1st team to have those type of announcers

Was it Detroit with the "DETROIT BASKETBALL" guy, its sooo cheesy any stadium that needs those people yelling to get the stadium loud is pathetic!!!!

Not to mention how annoying it would be at the game! If the C's PA guy did that i would consider not going to games.
