I'm done with this team! Have we really won 66 games?

That's a lie.

There is no shame is being 2-2 with Cleveland. They are a fine team built for the playoffs... I doubt anyone would think twice about it except for the fact that they did lose all 3 in Atlanta...

Quite frankly, I expect Boston to win game 5 but all its gonna take is for LeBron to go off and Boston is done because I dont see how they win a game 6 in Cleveland right now.

Anyone who thinks that Lebron doesn't have what it takes to steal a game in Boston is fooling themselves... See game 5 last year vs Detroit

First off, I have been avidly reading this board for about a year and feel that it is finally time to start posting.

I am as frustrated as all of you by the way the Celtics have played on the road this post season. However, they are not in bad shape. Lets remember that EVERY series other than the piston/magic is tied at 2 with every team winning at home. This deep in the playoffs that is what it to be expected. The remaining eight teams are all very strong and at this point home court advantage appears to be the difference between winning and losing. That is why it was so important that the Celtics had the best regular season record. Home court advantage is going to be the difference between winning and losing this post season and that is why the regular season DOES matter. Cleveland is a good team, they have debatably the best player in the game and are the defending eastern conference champions. It is not surprising that they are having success on their home court. so lets stay positive and enjoy the run. Technically the Celtics never have to win a game on the road and can win the championship, that is what they earned with such a great regular season.

Don't be shy. Post more often...it's nice to know that there are other Celtics fans who are somewhat objective and retain a shred of common sense.

P2, I love your passion and feel your frustration.

For the people that say you are a bandwagon fan, they got it all wrong. Your frustrated and you ain't afraid to show it. I respect that.

For the others, please stop making excuses for this team. We were the favorites going into the playoffs. There isn't one Celtic fan here that can say they are happy with the performance of this team so far in the playoffs.

I have very little faith that this team will win a road game and even less hope that we will win a championship. That doesn't mean I won't still be watching and cheering for this team. I'm sure P2 will do the same.

DA needs to get busy. He will have a huge challenge with hardly any cap space and a bad 1st round pick.

Well, a lot of people (many knicks fans) said that this team, as built, would have stars with too many miles on their bodies to keep it up through a full season and the playoffs.

I think that we match older teams like the Pistons and the Spurs a lot better than teams that have young stars.

We better win game 5 or we're toast, that's for sure.

This is just dumb, childish and borderline warning worthy, due the title. I guess most people cannot handle playoff basketball and all that comes with it.

Thats's it in a nutshell.......some boardies can't take it and you ain't even suiting up.lolololololo

The C's had a chance last night and just pissed it away.....with about 4 mins left tie game in the 4th q had the tide turning, had them backing up and Paul decided with 18 sec on the clock to throw up
a ill advised 3 missed and the tide turned back and never returned. **** happened. Paul has gotta drive more, Ray may have found the stroke and they are coming home.

A reason for the season.....home court advantage......we still have it.

P2

You're act is old. You're a sheep and a troll for that matter. Just go away. You never really have a clue on what you're talking about anyway.

I'm pissed as well but I'll never quit on this team. Get with the program or GTFO!

It's not a lie. Beside the pistons every team has lost all their away games. It's not just that the celtics cannot win on the road, the cavs, lakers, jazz, hornets spurs and magic cannot win either.

This is turninig into a bigger issue because the celtics have lost ALL of their road games. The celtics are the only team left without a road win. This team has no composure, lack of focus and the new three are no where to be found when it matters. There is really no reason for excuse for this. This sooner or later will cause their demise.

You have home court for a reason. Until they lose at home, everything remains the same.

What are you talking about? In the 2nd round, only the Pistons have won an away game. But each team has only had 2 away games. Look back to the 1st round, and all those teams you listed won away games, nearly or perhaps all of them winning more than one.

a couple things. I'm pissed, extremely. The fact that we basically are watching two different teams on the court wether it is the defensive monster at home or the scared team we see on the road is mind boggling. Who's to blame ? Doc or the players? I have no idea thats for Danny to decide ...(im guessing he is blaming the players though) I get so mad with every loss this postseason that if anyone brings up the celtics in a joking matter i want to elbow them in the eye socket.
That being said I will never quit on this team. Anyone who wants to abandon the team after being tied 2-2 with last years eastern conference champ can get the hell out. Dont let the door hit you on the ass. I know one thing for sure. Win or lose,Im still a fan.

I wouldn't say I'm done with this team -- I always hold out hope they can somehow pull it together and I am rooting for them.

But really, after Game 6 of the Atlanta series, all of the issues with this team winning a championship were quite apparent -- I think some people were just in denial, and some continue to be.

Both losses in Cleveland are understandable -- they're a good team. My real fear was that the Celtics were going to drop one of their first two home games in this series (and nearly did with Game 1, because they spent 7 games trying to finish off the Hawks).

It's all of the losses to Atlanta that were inexplicable. Had we swept the Hawks, as we should have, and were now tied 2-2 with Cleveland, I would feel very optimistic about winning this series -- or even getting out of the East. But the early losses to Atlanta are only being amplified now.

Joe is right to a degree. Under different circumstances, it shouldn't be shocking to see the Celtics tied up 2-2 with the Cavaliers. It all goes back to Atlanta -- the poor performance in that series is now nagging at the fans' minds during any struggle against Cleveland.

Come on guys, pipe down. Almost everyone else is split at 2-2. We have nonstop HCA, which will help us a lot if you see our atrocious road record. We cannot play this bad forever...

My one problem is I don't mind getting beaten by the other team's stars, but it really galls me when we get beaten by their trash (Varejao, Joe Smith, Gibson, Wally, even Delonte to an extent). When those guys are all of a sudden scoring options, you're ****...cos if THEY are scoring, the world is titled off its axis and all bets are off.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

You are a fairweather fan, that's a fact.

This is incorrect. I am just very emotional. We are supposed to be the best team in the league after finishing 7 games ahead of the 2nd place team. If we were e.g. a team like Toronto, I wouldn't expect a win in every game and losses would be everyday life. But not with this team!

intheknow wrote:To win on the road a team needs to be "good" and "hungry". Right now, the Celtics just don't look "hungry" when they're on the road. It's very frustrating to watch......

Exactly. From the beginning of the playoffs, they have been looking like every game is going to be handed to them.

How can someone be done with this team and still be posting on this board. Just grow up and stop making extreme statements to get attention.
