There's no place like home...

If the Celtics were the characters of the wizard of oz, who would be who?

My take is this...

Ray would be the cowardly lion. 4 Shots in game one? Fire it up man. Don't be afraid to shoot. Allen helped get us here and if we lose the series, atleast go down with YOUR game. His shot has been as big as anything in terms of Celtic's basketball this year, do what has gotten this team here. Atleast 16-18 attempts a game please....

Paul Pierce would be the tin man. No not questioning HIS heart. Far from it. Nobody plays with more heart on this team. HOWEVER, listening to the press conference in August after the KG trade, Ray, Kevin, and Paul were asked about this upcomming season. Ray was the " focus only on our team" player. Kevin was the respectful one, "well, not in the same class with Detroit and Cleveland until we do it." Paul was the "I'm optimistic about every season, I feel we're always the team to beat" guy.

We need the Paul Pierce that exagerates supreme confidence when on the court . That confidence spills onto the other players. He needs to be that guy that was sitting at the press conference. He IS the heart of the team. So basically I am comparing his heart to his body language on the court. Not on his play. We know the amount of energy he is using on the defensive side, just don't let it show.

Rondo. Scarecrow. Needs a vetreran brain. Learn (can't believe I'm saying this) some of the Cassell tricks. West can't keep up with you physically. You can exploit him by getting him and others in foul trouble.

Perkins would be To-To. Along for the ride , but a key componet for the storyline. Get rebounds, a few easy putbacks, and a clog in the lane.

KG is our main character of Dorothy. Knows where he wants to go (championship), just hasn't quite figured out exactly how to get there. We need him to figure out (and I believe he will) before the end of the playoffs. Take the ball to the hoop, don't bail your defender out with a fallaway.

Doc NEEDS to be the wizard. Tell Ray to shoot. Tell Pierce to speak up. Show Rondo a few 'tricks'. Tell Perk to continue what he's doing. Tell KG to take it to the hole.

There's no place like home... There's no place like home... There's no place like home... Banner 17.

LET"S GO CELTICS!!!!!

Easily the best first thead in history. Seriously, though. Well thought out, fits them to a T.

Fortunately for you guys the Wizard of Oz ended happy.
