It Feels Good To Make It To The Final 4
After tonight's game with the Spurs/Hornets, there will be only 4 teams left. It has been a roller coaster ride so far for us. Two series, two game 7's.
I for one go nuts watching the games. And I have to admit I have trouble controlling my emotions when it comes to the Celtics. So far in the playoffs there have been a lot of happy times and a lot of frustrating and confusing times, especially on the road. But after tonight, we will be one on only 4 teams left and that feels good.
Whether we have a 1% or 99% chance of winning a title this year, the great thing is we are only one of 4 teams that still have a chance. I just wanted to remind some of you of this, including myself. We have come a long way from last season. Let's just enjoy the ride.

Only when it comes to the Celtics. And how can you tell me you don't feel that way? It's like how we have been playing at home vs the road. We are day and night. That's what is causing my emotional changes. I'm sure that a lot of fans here can relate.
Paul Pierce commented on the same thing in the post game conference. He stated that it's been an emotional ride. They feel good and confident after a win and they go on the road and lose and everything changes. They lose some of their happiness and confidence after a loss.
That's why from this point on, I'm going to try to enjoy the ride as much as possible and be thankful that we have made it this far.

im with ya about the bipolar celtics obsession i have, it scare the hell outta my gf. thankfully she got prepared for this with last Octobers Sox playoff run. but that was nothing compared to the gauntlet of emotions, the screaming, wall punching, death threats that have become par for the course the last month

Nice OP.
I definitely think it's time to enjoy the ride. The first two series were so nerve racking in part because it would have been a tragedy if we had lost. It would have been a big disappointment, even if the Cavs were better than we thought.
From now on, I consider anything gravy. I didn't expect to make it past the ECF at the start of the season, and I don't expect it now. I think Detroit should be favored in this series. Maybe the team feels like I do and will play looser and have more fun. It seems like we really labored, especially on the road.

Agreed, I still really want to go further but this is where I predicted us to be at the start of the year. I do think we can steal a road game or two in DET something I didnt think wed do against CLE

So Doc Rivers must get fired for coaching the team to where you predicted they would be at the start of the season?
There is some failed logic there somewhere.

I agree fully, we're finally here the ECF. After perhaps one of the most thrilling game 7s.. I feel like we've finally made it where we wanted to be. We wanted to be among the best and that's where we've made it. Now it's a series where I feel anything can happen although I believe we are the underdogs here.

Nope if we had a good coach I wouldve predicted them to win the finals, I figured Doc would make boneheads rotation moves as we have seen in the ATL series and start of the Cleveland one which would hold us back. I will give credit where credit is due and admit that in the last two home games I have been more impressed with Doc, he seems like hes starting to realize who should play and who shouldnt and when to call timeouts. Lets keep an eye on him in this series

But on a serious note, this is the corner all of the Doc-haters have painted themselves into.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Yeah!
Celtics: 16 Championships
Lakers: 9 Championships
Spurs: 4 Championships
Pistons: 3 Championships
Not counting the Bulls with 6, who else is a multiple winner? Philly has 2, New York has 2, Houston has 2, the Minny Lakers have 5, otherwise everyone else is just one and done, yes?
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
