Someone voted for Perk. Recount?

KG all the way. Sheed look awful.

The Big Three stepped up again. Awesome stuff.

The Good:

  • KG and PP totally taking over
  • PP playing PG when pressure is on

The Bad:

  • Ray's continued shooting woes
  • N/A

The Ugly:

  • Rip's elbow to KG's face
  • Detroit making it seem a lot closer than it was
  • (and as always, Sam Cassell)

KG for me, although it's almost a tie with PP.

Rondo gets honorable mention for disrupting their offensive flow so many times and for making some key hoops.

It has to be Pierce IMO. Great overall game from Paul. He had it going on offense, plus he got his teammates involved. Nothing against KG, he was great...just think Pierce was better.

It is between KG and Pierce for me but I am going with the captain. Offensively we are in trouble when PP isn`t in the game. That pick and roll with KG is money!

Rondo and Perk also had very good games! And Ray albeit the shooting problems looked much better than against CLE.

I had to go with KG, although, it was one of the toughest choices I had to make with this poll all year. He just shut down Sheed and abused him on offense when he was being covered by him. Pierce did open up a lot for KG and others though by his penetrating and kicking out. All around, I think all the starters played well. Didn't force too much and stuck to their system.

KG played nasty , paul pierce allowed him to. By that I mean he opened everything for him by taking the ball to the hopp. I think Paul only had 2 direct assist to KG. No way does KG have that much room to operate if paul is roaming the perimeter.

On another note. I give Ray an A for effort. Dude is busting his ass on D and trying to get good looks.

My vote is Paul and KG close second.

Tough choice for me between KG an Paul, but I chose KG because he was absolutely money the whole game and got really aggressive going to the hoop. I want to see more of that.

Not to sound like I take it for granted, but last night was Paul Pierce being Paul Pierce...and I loved it!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

I was walking out of the game last night and I looked at my buddy and said the same thing. That might have been the best game he coached all season. To me a coach is having a good game when you don't even notice he's there. I was at the game and I don't think I looked at Doc once the whole time. Just a superb job.

KG. Sheed was supposed to be the great equalizer.... not so much.

Pierce- Detroit has no one to guard him- neither Rip or Tay are strong enough.

also, an A goes to entire team for the hustle on defense- I thought our guys went hard after every loose ball.

only thing I didn't like about last night- at times our guys went under the pick instead trying to fight through it when we are guarding prince and hamilton. those cats are money- we don't need to give them any space.

Oh yeah.

So was that ridiculous Bird-esque fallaway J by Pierce late in the game.

Just as an aside, I've been at least moderately happy with Doc Rivers' coaching for pretty much the first time since he became a head coach in the NBA. Heckling Garnett to stay down low, using House instead of Cassell, staying on Rondo's confidence... It's almost as if he's a real coach...

Great win; one more to hold homecourt and the Celtics are flying.

Keep it up!

PP for really setting the tone of the game in the 4th, he basically controlled the tempo by himself with his ball handling and scoring.
