I think Rondo at age 22 and Perkins at age 23 makes for a foundation for the next era. Neither is a superstar talent. Perkins is a capable big man and when you combine that with the intangibles he is acquiring this season and will over the next 2 he will be a major asset for the rebuilding phase in our near future.

I think it is criminal how much we had to give up for Ray Allen and KG when you see how easily Pau Gasol went to LA. And don't blame Ainge. The Gasol trade was definitely bull and Kupchak deserves no credit when the fix was obviously in. Because we had to give up fair talent to get talent we lost a lot of young chips. How can Ainge keep this going beyond next season when Paul starts to wear down?

The key will trading Ray or Paul when they are expiring for good young talent. 1 home run in the draft would be nice but it is unlikely at #30...... but a Tony Parker or a Manu Ginobilli would be awfully sweet.

I would try real hard to swindle Walsh and D'Antoni right now. D'Antoni loves shooters. Ray Allen, Powe, Scalabrini and #30 for David Lee, Marbury and #6 would be fairer than what Memphis got for Gasol.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Dorsey may measure out to be only 6-8 or less. If we keep drafting 6-8 bigs then we will have 6-8 bigs. But he is tough.

I agree that we absolutely need - a future PP replacement (someone who can create his own offense) and a quality rotation big for Perk/Garnett. I'm hoping that Pruitt will be Ray's replacement or this can be accomplished thru FA.
