Paul Pierce's 2002-2003 Playoffs: 27ppg/9rpg/7asp/2spg

2001-2002 Playoffs: 25ppg/8.5rpg/4asp/1.7spg/1.25bpg

I think Pierce's struggles the past two playoff series can be attributed to the players guarding him: Josh Smith (more athletic, long arms, probably faster too), Lebron (taller, faster, stronger).

Now that we have Tayshaun (same height but slower and skinnier) guarding Pierce, we see the old Pierce return.

Paul is the best small forward left in the playoffs by a great distance. He was second only to LBJ at his positon. So we have a mismatch every night with Paul. As good as you think Prince is on D Paul in that much better on offense.

Also, while Rasheed is good, KG is better at every facet except 3-pt shooting.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

Yeah!!! We lose the center position battle every night. Except it didn't work that way in game. So go figure?
