if the Celtics had never gotten Kevin Garnett and instead had gotten Rasheed
Wallace..would you be saying the same thing?..that KG is better than Sheed?

ur answer is purely homerish

i live in chicago and have never lived in portland or detroit so dont say im being a homer.

let's just see who wins this series

Absolutely. I never wanted Rasheed on the Celtics, even if it had been an option. Nice player, yes, but not for us. I just about shat myself when I heard we had a chance for Garnett last year, though, and when it happened, well, let's say I was pretty happy! 8)
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

No my answer is not homerish, your response I guess is former homerish.

You obviously have a man crush on Rasheed. I said I think most people udnerrate him, but even if you ask non-celtic fans 9/10 will say KG is the better overall player. If you think I am wrong try it.

EDIT: I guess you ahvent lived in Portland but form your name you are obviously a blazers fan. Rasheed is not the player KG is....see DPOY...etc.

This is the same situation as Antoine Walker, IMO. He had the ability to be much better but took it for granted. With Walker he was not always in shape and settled way too much for the perimeter. Rasheed I don't think you can question his conditioning, but he has the same attitude to shoot from the perimeter instead of taking advantage of his talented post-up abilities, and plays really hard when he feels like it.

And as far as Garnett vs. Wallace, it's a laughable comparison. Rasheed isn't anywhere near the passer that Garnett is. They're on different planets in that regard. Garnett puts forth a much better defensive effort and production in that area over Rasheed as well. It's not even close.

KG makes the HOF. Rasheed Wallace doesnt.

Since we have people on this board saying Wallace is in the same class at KG, that proves how much hes overrated.

Everyone is making excuses for him. Being lazy, chucking 3s, etc.. are part of his portfolio. Its who he is. Hes in the same class as Antoine Walker and Derrick Coleman. If you arent giving full out effort in the ECF and just disappear, that counts against you.

I can easily say Oliver Miller would have been one of the best PF/Centers in the league if he wasnt a fat ass. He is a fat ass, and Rasheed Wallace is lazy and unmotivated.

^You also always hear the excuse about Rasheed that he's "so passionate" that he blows up.

Loads of great players are/were passionate (Bird, Jordan, KG, Duncan, Kobe, etc) but they channeled it into their play and into winning. HUGE difference
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
