When does the shot clock have to start? After the team inbounds the ball or after the shot.
There was a time during last night game that when the Pistons were up in the 2nd half that a Piston had to an issue when his shoe and the game clock ran off between 8-10 seconds before the shot clock started.
After that point, I watched the clock situation and it always seemed the Celtics 24 started after a Piston shot was made and there was always a few Game clock ticks off the clock when Detriot took the ball out when they had the lead.

I noticed that during late in the 4th of game 4, the C's lost about 7-8 secs after a Piston basket. The clock started even before the inbound. Its really supposed to start when a player makes contact with the ball after the inbounds. Detroit was up to no good with stuff like that and putting up the heaters on the celts (a la Red).

Does the league appoint a time keeper, or does the home team have a person to do it? It still wasn't as bad as in ATL with the 1...................2..........................3 calls for the home team and 123 for us. Wasn't Bennet Salvatore the one that allowed that crap?
