Negative point differential when Cassell's in game

Post#1 » by boykins_2 » Sun Jun 1, 2008 2:42 pm

Can't Doc see that. Game 6 against Detroit was really telling in that respect.
Boston could really use Tony A for the LA series but I don't think Doc will play him.

I think, or at least hope, that House will be the back-up point guard this series, considering there won't be Lindsey Hunter's insane pressure defense.

I expect Cassell to win us 1 game in the finals! That alone will make his signing a success. PJ has already won one for us, now I am waiting for Sam to do the same.

Tony Allen is hurt and if he does play, I doubt he will help much. He cannot dribble. House is terrible under pressure even worse than Sam. Right now Sam is the best option if there is pressure defense on the pg.

The Lakers don't pressure much. Play House. I'd play House even if they tried to pressure as we can just let other guys bring the ball up.

House is going to be back in since LA probably won't pressure us. Which is great news because House plays some damn good D and should be able to bother Fisher/Farmar.
My Starting 5:

PG: Allen Iverson
SG: Paul Pierce
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Kevin Garnett
C: Patrick Ewing

House and Cassell will both be useful in this series. The Lakers don't have that one guy to be able to pressure our PG's full court. Fisher is good defensively but he's not fast enough to recover if beaten in the backcourt.

There is no need to play Sam in this series unless Rondo gets into foul trouble. The Lakers rarely pressure the PG so House as a backup will be just fine.

There's no need but you know Doc will use him, when Sam goes to the media again. House should be the primary backup to Rondo. Our bench is key and Doc remember how he utilized it in the regular season when we won 66 games!

yeah i was thinking about this during game 5 when sam was stinking up the joint. i'd love to see some hollinger +/- numbers for cassell in the playoffs, he's **** killing us out there. with no lindsay hunter to pressure to provide pressure d in the backcourt house should be the primary backup pg w/out question

I only wished we signed Sam earlier in the season so by now it would be evident he doesn't fit into this team.

Sam didn't play good in game 6. But, sam did get to rim at will. He just missed the easy lay ups or jump shots.

Also, listen to me carefully, you need to play sam. Do you really want to risk intergalitic war? Earth would not stand a chance against the planet full of handsome creatures.

Serousouly though, don't worry. Sam i am will work out just fine in the finals. Pacer fan here wishing you much luck! Go celts! Pierce really looked excited about going to finals, that alone makes me root for you.

Might I remind everyone that Sam did hit a jumper when the Pistons were destroying us in the 3rd going on a 19-4 run or something like that.

Also who hit the big shot in our come back win against the Spurs in San Antonio down 20?
