This call just amazes me. Billups does this all the time and its just accepted as one of his "strenghts". If some one showed me this video and asked for the proper call I would have went with these in order:

1. Defensive foul on Rip
2. Travel
3. No call (pierce moves to his right slightly BUT NOT INTO Rip)

I don't think I would have even come up with that call after seeing how they call the Billups Bump.

Earlier in the series, Chauncey kicked Eddie in the nuts while hitting a 3 and got a 4 pt play out of it. That was the ONLY contact on that play - a solid intentionally-flailing kick to the nuts of the defender - and the call went against the defender.

Now, granted, we can't say for sure WHAT Eddie's nuts did to Chauncey's foot while being kicked by it - THEY MAY VERY WELL HAVE COME UP WITH SOME BEHAVIOR SO STRONG AND GRUESOME THAT IT DISRUPTED THE SHOT - but I remember Frontier even started a thread about how it was the worst foul call he'd ever seen.

Hard to believe it got topped in the same series!

the non-goaltend call on the dee brown/mchale alleyoop inbounds play to end the charlotte/boston playoff game was pretty bad. this one was much more obvious and isolated though.

Yup. I remember. Also that bogus traveling call on McHale right after he hit hit the go ahead shot in the ECF in 1988 against Detroit. I'll never forget that as it cost the C's the chance to go back to the Finals in '88 and to this day was a BS call...even Shaughnessey thinks so, it even made his Celtics book, believe it or not.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

The one good thing that came out of that play is that any Pistons fan that tries whining about how the series was fixed to set up a Celtics-Lakers finals will be making those complaints without any merit at all and need look no further than that instance.
