Boston fans...

Post#1 » by DubaLakers » Tue Jun 3, 2008 7:20 am

I got one reqest as the old C's rest their tired bones, with this lame media layoff from conference finals to the NBA Finals...

If you guys lose and you complain about the fouls I will have no respect for you. If you guys pull this finals out, I will congratulate you without complaint. You will have deserved it running the best record and taking home the LOB trophy.

The better team will win this series no doubt and there is no way I'm gonna crown D Stern or referres with having any fn' influence on this series. No excuses! May the best team win.

I really think after this long layoff that it's a huge advantage to the C's playing at home and the Celts getting over twice on the Lakers this season. As well as the Lakers being a little rusty. If the Celts lose that first game at home it's gonna mess with their psyche big time, pulling that home court out from under them in game 1. Truly all the pressure is on the C's IMO.

I think the Lakers have many advantages: the backcourt (Cassell, House Ray vs. Kobe, Farmar, DFish, Sasha), the bench; yes a bit overrated, but a solid young hard playing group that run the offense at times as efficient as the starters. Turiaf, Ariza, and Sasha are three out of our four best defenders on the team running second squad. Our bench offense has struggled a bit in this postseason, but one thing is for sure there defense doesn't suffer they are still suffocating folks at times. If Kobe has the right matchup he's gonna improvise and pull out of the offense. The Lakers bench stays within the offense.

Other advantages: The Celts can't play that overplaying zone as much vs. the Lakers we have too many weapons and too many shooters for them to get away with that; this a'int Cleveland baby! PJax V's Doc, We are deeper and younger, we are the best passing team in the L, as well as the best offensively.

All that being said KG has really stepped his game up, especially last series, Pierce is playing fantastic a tough guard for the Lakers, Posey is playing liek he was 3 years ago, and KPerkins I like that cat, he's a hard nosed dude. You guys have homecourt, the best D in the league (again if you are able to play that overplaying zone vs. us I would be very surprised), and now you got rest. Rondo is playing solid, but he's gotta go against the players rep D Fish and JFar who have gone thru the gauntlet of the best pg's in the league, sans CP3. One last thing in your two wins we didn't have yet, Pau Gasol.

Lastly props to the Boston board you show more hunger than the Lakers board at this point. You all are damn angry, but props to you for debating your takes on the series vs. ours. Really is getting me pumped for the series. I love that we are playing the Celts again, especially with our correct fitting shorts this time round.

Let's tip this ball off damn Thursday can't come soon enough!

 Lakers in 4 if the Lakers win game 1, Lakers in 5 if the C's win game 1

Well, the referees handed you the jazz series and the spurs series. I have no doubt that you will have them on your side in this finals, too. But we have the quality to beat you anyway.

There will be some very surprised LA fans after the series. Everybody is so confident that they will beat us but when they see our defense shut them down with each game they will be more scared and quiet.

That's exactly what I'm talking about, that's why I brought it up. This is a cop out and it's bush. You are already making an excuse in the event you lose this series. You guys are the best sports city what the last 5 or so years with the Sox, Pats, now the Celts having the best record. You are knowledgable fans as well. This conspiracy garbage is way beneath you C's fans, man up.

P.S. Evaded Heart...That line was a little harsh my apologies to the C's fans.

Objectivity is not allowed in this thread.

What exactly is the point of this thread? Just seems like an ego feeding soapbox kind of thread but maybe I missed something.

I do agree with this Laker fan. Let's all man up and let the best team win. Both teams came this far so let them play and see who wins and no complains. A good team will find a way to win even if the ref's are against them.

I am more than happy to play the Lakers instead of Spurs. Finals would be too boring watching Manu and Parker flop all the time.

Why doesn't one of the mods lock the thread and suspend this guy for trolling. The post has zero points to be made in it and all he/she is trying to do is antagonize the BOS posters. You would be suspended for doing anything close to this on their weak ass board.

I agree. While I love/encourage opponents coming here and talking about basketball and the games, this is a Boston board. Coming here starting a thread telling them how they should act is just arrogant and instigating when it starts out like,

If you guys lose and you complain about the fouls I will have no respect for you. If you guys pull this finals out, I will congratulate you without complaint. You will have deserved it running the best record and taking home the LOB trophy.

Nothing good will come from this. Lock.
