Hm. Considering you're coaching opponents so far have been the philosophical triumvirate of Mike Woodson, Mike Brown, and Flip Saunders, I'll take Yes for $300 Alex.

I hate to tell you their buddy, but Detroit and Cleveland have much, much better defensive teams than the Lakers and that is what we are talking about.

These matchups won't last long. The difference between Gasol and Odom guarding KG is negligible. Whereas having Odom on Perk vs. Gasol on Perk is much more of an advantage for the Celtics. IMO you'll see Perk dominate the offensive board against Odom and the Lakers will be forced to swith Gasol onto Perk. Also I'm guessing we'll see a lot more of Gasol/Turiaf than most people would expect. All in all the Lakers just don't match up well with the Celtics frontcourt.

If thats the case Perkins will crush Odom downlow........my question now is who will guard Paul Pierce? (Radmanovic) Pierce will kill him too.....i think theres a lot of mismatch problem that we can give to the Fakers i mean Lakers

It's called team defense, we're going to roam on Rondo.

Roaming on Rondo is really going to backfire on the Lakers, since they don't have any good shot blocking bigs. Gasol is probably the best, but if he's guarding KG, he won't be in position to bother Rondo after he blows by Fisher.

Rondo is going to average 20 and 10 this series!

And the same with the Celtics too, they won't do anything the Lakers haven't seen either.

As far as the original posters questions to match ups it basically has come down to cross matching for this game anyway. You guys rave about Perkins like he's unstoppable. Bottom line is if the Celtics ran 50% of their offense thru him I'd be concerned but they don't.

I don't think anything we see in Game 1 will be set in stone for the series.

You couldn't be more WRONG, Lakers were 5th in the NBA in blocks (5.5 per gm) while your Celtics were.................19th (4.6). Check your facts before you let that tongue fly !

I'm sure Gasol will step up this series.

Can't wait.

A lot of those blocks were by Turiaf and Bynum. Odom and Gasol are decent shot blockers in their own right, but they're not Rasheed Wallace, they're not Josh Smith, they're not Jason Maxiell, and they're not even Al Horford. When Turiaf is in the game, that obviously changes, but he's not going to take a ton of minutes away from Gasol or Odom.

Celts didn't block a ton of shots because NO ONE got to the basket.
