Gasol is very much overrated by fans.

The guy is a right handed Raef LaFrentz without a 3 point shot and with some passing ability.

He's soft...doesn't rotate right....is slow....decent weak-side defender but atrocious one-on-one defender.

If AI gets you A. Miller and 2 1sts.....Gasol's trade is more than fair considering no other team was willing to pay 20 cents on the dollar for him.

C. Wallace did the best he could and he got the rights to Marc Gasol who is going to be 10x better than his brother.

It's got less to do with this specific trade and more to do with the fact that it seems like Chris Wallace does everything humanly possible to destroy the Celtics and whatever team he is GMing for.

To name a few:
Keeping Kedrick Brown over Joe Johnson
Bungling 3 1st round picks
VIN BAKER
Swapping a lotto pick that could've been AMiller or Marion for Vitaly Potapenko
Gasol trade

The list goes on and on. How he does anything but flip burgers is beyond me. He has to have the worst management skills of all time. He's like the anti-Auerbach.

Memphis could have gotten Theo Ratliff, Kendrick Perkins and Delonte West for Gasol and that would have been better than the LA deal.

Hell, they'd probably have gotten the 5th pick in last year's draft and more -- but to think a Perkins-Ratliff-West package would outdo what the Grizzlies eventually got would be laughable this time last year.

It's worse than that. He tried to trade the Pierce pick for Vitaly even after Pierce fell to us but Cleveland turned him down. (Course Cleveland regretted that sometime around summer league)
