With all of this talk about the Celts bringing in players and Ainge's tendency to "think outside the box" I am going to suggest someone who may or may not be available for our backup C position... Now I have to first preface this by stating that I am not a fan of us because he falls into the same category as Miles and Kemp in that he truly wasted his career and he is not a great defensive player nor fit for our team but what about Derrick Coleman ??

If we are going to bring back Kemp and Coleman I'm not sure why we stop there...why not just see if Tommy Heinsohn wants to suit up again?

Yeah, because we all know Kemp is an upstanding citizen who would never touch drugs.

This Kemp talk is irrelevant because he's no longer trying to return to the league.

First off, I just threw Kemp out there as an example of a guy, who would be better than the **** that we have brought in to look at. All of these players are absolute garbage. I also would trust Kemp to stay off drugs, who's been clean for years, besides a pot incident, more than I trust Andersen. This is an interview from March, http://youtube.com/watch?v=Tdi0d1we72E , does he seem like a guy that's using? And if you're going to take a risk, wouldn't you rather take it with a guy like Kemp than someone like Andersen?

Right now, he's playing for the love of the game and not calling up teams looking for workouts, but he has said he'll listen to phone calls and think about it.

"The game of basketball is still fun for me," Kemp said. "A lot of teams remember me from Orlando four or five years ago. I think they'd be surprised if they saw what kind of shape I'm in. I've talked to some people. I just don't want to be some old man who pushed it.

"I still play basketball strictly out of love. But if I get a phone call one day, I'll probably think about it."

But anyways, like I said, that's just 1 example of a guy who I would rather have on the team than these failures that we are looking at.

Kemp was arrested in 2005 for pot and cocaine possession

No, I'd much rather take a shot on a in his prime Anderson who can contribute effectively to the team than a 38 year old Kemp who has been out of basketball for half a decade.

That clip of Kemp is ridiculous. He looks like he is playing against some rec league at a YMCA somewhere.

Who the hell keeps dragging up Kemp. What a joke. He has kids who are older than half the guys drafted in the first round and just as many. Kemp.

Nope, he has a job for another year.

Chief, however, is available.

huge harrison fan off the bench...

the most interesting name is obviously magette. im not sur eif there would be enough playing time between him, Ray, and Paul. They'd probably give him a 5 yr deal because he's still kind of young, and possibly start him if they decide to trade Ray's expiring for a lottery pick next offseason.

POB is a project big man, but you guys are looking for someone to come in 15 minutes a game and maybe more. He has length to be a shot blocker and change some shots. offensive game is limited.
dont believe what nellie says...he's hated pob since he got here.

Miles? Outside of the fact signing miles would hurt the blazers in 09/10 FA, there could be a handful of young players who'd be a better bet to take a chance on. Heck, Von Wafer at least had one solid game for the blazers this season; thats more than I could say for miles in the last two.
