I could see a McHale/Ainge trade that brings Craig Smith over to BOS when he is eligible to be traded on December 15th.
Smith was terrific with Garnett, and although he was a second round pick, he was considered a Top Ten rookie. Smith's benefit is that he's very muscular and supernaturally quick, that allows him to get his shot off against anyone. However, his height (6' 7") meant he couldn't defend bigger opponents. Next to Garnett however, who is perhaps the best help-defender in the NBA, they made a terrific pair.
Besides the fit, I think he's unnecessary for MIN, and his low price tag ($2.3 mil in 2008, $2.5 mil in 2009) makes him a terrific bargain for the lux-strapped Celtics.

Wow, this is completely out of left field.
Why don't we all get into the action.
I can the see the Celtics bringing in Juan Baerra from Dallas and strength and conditioning coach Dwight Daub from Oklahoma. Why you ask? Why not I say.

Re: Craig Smith
He's a slightly bigger/stronger, but less versatile version of Ryan Gomes. Does not excel defensively and has a limited game overall. Not extremely young, known for his rebounding but his rebounding numbers aren't overwhelming persay considering he is only bringing so much else to the table. He's a legit player but I wouldn't call him a bargain. He was 23 yrs old most of his rookie season, so "arguably top ten" or "all rookie 2nd team" isn't overly impressive in context. Millsap, by comparison, turned 21 around the all star break.
And per the Wiretap he's coming off of arthroscopic knee surgery.

Remember the Tickle Me Elmo craze? I had one of my bosses offer me $500 if I could find one for him. I never did find one though. They had been sold out for months by then.

Re: Craig Smith
If I had to choose between Powe, Davis, Gomes, and Smith I would choose Smith last. I respect what he has done but I saw a lot of him and the other 3 have an extra element to their game whether Powe's athleteicisim, Davis' ability to play the 5 or Gomes ability to step out and handle the ball that I don't see from Smith. At the same time he would seem to be a perfect back up PF for the Wolves.
