That being said, he improved drastically last year from his rookie year, so I'd hope the continued improvement would be there for 08-09 as well.

Jason Kidd never became a *great* 3 point shooter, but he was around 35 pct and knocked in a lot of them during his prime in NJ. I'd call that reliable any day. I think Rondo could conceivably get there.

I wouldn't mind Donyell Marshall here for when Doc Rivers is intent on playing a little smallball with shooters on the floor so Pierce can eat teams apart off the dribble.

C KG
PF Donyell
SF Pierce
SG Ray
PG House

That lineup would be perfect to close out games with since you couldn't leave anybody to stop Pierce and Garnett, it would be a poor mans version of that same lineup we used with Posey last year but at a reasonable pricetag unlike Posey at nearly 6 million.

He could be our Robert Horry so to speak, i've always had an interest in getting Donyell Marshall here. He really could've been quite a player in this league he just never found the right chance.

Had he gone to the Jazz a few years earlier he'd have been the difference in those Bulls vs Jazz Finals in my opinion.

I get that we might want shooters on the floor at times, I just don't see what the current iteration of Marshall has to do with shooting, unless it's doing it very badly. He was .283 from 3 point land, .327 overall in 13 minutes a game last season.

If we are looking to sign another shooter, he should at least be more effective than Scalabrine.

Donyell Marshall was a good player in another millenium..

I don't think it's accurate to say he sucks. It's just that he is done now. I see no need for him on the roster. Posey by comparision was a spring chicken. Let's not confuse veteran with washed up..
