Saw that yesterday, its a great story. Gomes is a really stand-up guy, I'm glad there's people in the NBA like him that donate their time to a good cause

What a great kid, winning championships is awesome but I still miss him just a solid person.

It's easy to get caught up in the moronic comments/antics of some of the league's other players, but you can tell Ryan's a straight-shooter. I'll one-up you and say he's a *great* person. If he were just solid the world would be a much better place.

Buying all those defribillators is a terrific gesture, NBA salary or not. I'm surprised no mention of Reggie Lewis was brought up, since that's who I immediately thought of and since Gomes is a former Celtic. I'd still love him back on the team; hard to believe he's only 26 since he's always come off as more mature from day 1...

Return to Boston Celtics
