2K9 Player rankings-Celtics

I'm only able to post here while at work and most sites are blocked by my company. It sucks but I don't have to deal with the lame advertisements. Anyways can someone please post the player rankings for the C's for the newest 2K?

I had higher hopes for Giddens vs Walker. And O'bryant in general.

Powe is much to high ranked imo, he should be a few points higher then Big Baby. But not on a diffrent level entirely with a 76 rating. That Finals game did wonders for his ratings.

They gave love for KG,Pierce, and Ray. And Pruitt as well. Hopefully they put in the injury factor for TA. He may be as good as a 76, but he rarely if ever plays up to his potential due to injury. It's probuly going to be the same for Miles.

Also the person didn't post Scalabrine's ratings, I hope Scal is somewhere along the rank of a 50 or so. That way the game will never auto-sub him in over Powe or Baby.

I like Walkers ranking, he will be used alot in my season. Also a 73 for Miles helps alot.

Copperhead got them off apparently a site that was showing all of them. It's on a thread in the general board.

I forgot that Pierce might get a bounce up for Finals appearance. But then you have to factor in the game signed KG, and the media praised KG. So outside of hardcore fans most people probuly think the main reason we won the championship was KG carrying us with Pierce + Ray as great sidekicks aka the Sam and Spree of 04' Wolves.

Ridiculous that Pierce is only 92. How is Ray under 90? He's still top 5 SG in the league. :\

Ratings are alright- I think having Pierce as a 92 is fair, but at the same time, I don't think Melo should be a 94- that's too high.

Ray's rating is just about right- could be a little lower even- but not higher. He struggled for a lot of the season- due to age and obviously injuries- but the point is still valid.

And it's arguable that Allen's a top 5 shooting guard at this point in his career. Kobe, Wade, Ginobili, Joe Johnson, Carter are shooting guards that are better than him (off the top of my head).

I'd still take Ray above Carter because of how well his shooting fits next to Pierce and KG, but despite all the hate Vince gets, Allen's not a better player than him.

KG 99 (on point)
Pierce 92 (If Carmelo's a 93 Pierce should be a 94.
R.Allen 89 (I'd drop him down to 87)
Rondo 83 (Oh yes loving it)
Powe 76 (I like it, he was more productive than Perk who's a 75)
T.Allen 76 ( I'd give him a 72)
Perkins 75 (solid)
House 74 (solid)
Miles 73 (who knows)
Pruitt 73 (they should've switched his stats with Davis', Pruitt 66)
Walker 70 (don't know yet)
Giddens 69 (don't know yet)
Davis 66 (70 at least)
O'Bryant 64 (jeez is he really that bad?)

I think the only one that really sucks is Big Baby's rating... I mean, he was great last year, and yet Pruitt gets 7 points higher? O'Bryant should be a bit higher too I think. I also hope Walker's dunk rating is super high! And Scal is a 62 if I remember correctly.

Also, Chris Paul got a 99! I think that's a bit tarded.

What happened to good old span from 99 to 50.
Scrubs like POB and Pruit should be in low 50 until/if they prove themselves.
Only 10 players in league should be 90ish.
That way stars and solid players stand out more.
Now Pruitt is almost as good as House.

I think CP3 was just as dominate as KG at his position and in the game of basketball. He took his team far into the playoffs.

KG's a 99? Ah, the perks of being the cover boy. I love KG, but that's a bit high for him.

I think the other rankings for the Cs are pretty fair. Don't mind them at all. Ratings aren't really that big of a deal for me though, as I've been winning with the Celtics, even when they had crap on the team. Yes, I am that damn good. 8-)

How the *ell was BBD great? Let me count the ways that BBD EARNED his low ranking.

1) His +/- was poor. They C's were better with him off the court. And that's with him replacing Perkins much of the time so spare me the OMG he didn't get to play with all-star crap.

2) He shot .484 from the field - which sounds OKAY until you realize he has a range of about 3 feet - and yet can barely dunk the ball. His jump shot percentage was .313. His free throw percentage was 66%

3) For this 'great passer" he averaged 1.4 assist per 48.

4) At both his PF spot and C spot his opponent had a higher PER they he did.. With centers abusing him to the tune of 19.7 PER.

5) He is fat. A few trips up and down the court and the guy is gasping for air.

Maybe you like his fun loving personality or think he has "potential" but his middling rank was entirely deserved. BBD is the new Delonte West - entirely overrated by fans for attributes unrelated to basketball ability. I will say this if BBD ever managed to get down to a solid 250 he might be decent. But 66 is a reasonable ranking,'

What's D. West ranking in 2k9? BTW.

As I read that fourth "argument" of GuyClinches I was actually thinking this sounds like a personal rant reserved for West... and shortly thereafter he goes on to say BBD is the new West. Looks like BBD will never do anything right and if he did do it correctly he looked horrible in doing it because he's fat.

I think he actually works for the video game... he's the ratings guy.

Since when does your assist average make you a great passer? You can be a great passer by setting someone else up for an assist too. The dude may not be skinny, but he's not exactly wicked slow... He's always diving for loose balls too, he's a hustle guy. And for his first season, you're pretty damn harsh. He's barely old enough to order a drink, he's still young, lighten up. What about that game against Detroit? And if personality doesn't mean a thing, I'm assuming KG's doesn't mean anything? He's been a pretty good contributer if you ask me. Kind of strange how you'll bleep out hell but you're not crap, you'll call a guy fat and insult him.

You can be a great passer by setting someone else up for an assist too.

Players who do that get assists as well. As a person who actually plays basketball from time to time I have noticed that when you make a pass the recipient might shoot or pass after he gets the ball. It's not up to me what he does. So there is no magical way to make these great passes that don't lead to assists. When you make good passes you get assists. Oh wait maybe you are this magical player that's why you ignore this..I dunno.

Oh please. I don't hate BBD. I just don't think he was great. He was below average when objectively compared to other players at his position. That's what I was pointing out - and his rating matches that. Yes he has some postive attributes or he wouldn't be in the NBA.

GG has some positive attributes as well - that doesn't mean he wasn't below average. Below average players get below average ratings. If we assume 75 is "average" then 66 is about right for BBD. Calling a guy like BBD 'great" and then complaining about his rating is ridiculous. He wasn't great. I provided facts to prove that.

And yes being fat is bad for being an athlete. It's a noteworthy weakness. I realize that's politically incorrect and people love people who remind them of themselves - but you can't be a great basketball player and fat.
