Injury Management

Post#1 » by LongTimeFan » Sat Oct 4, 2008 11:58 am

One of the things Boston franchise and the Celtics do extremely well well is injury management. (Knock on wood.) It seems we have the long term health of our players in mind and we do everything possible to protect them.

I think this is very important to our franchise. Keeping the big three minutes down, extends their careers and their utility in the post season. Keeping a healthy pressure on the young guys encourages them to develope, but not try too hard.

I think is just part of Boston culture. We have the lowest traffic fatality rate in the country. We just understand and manage risk better than just about anybody in the world.

Just a thought. It looks like the Red Sox have done pretty well managing their injuries.
