Bulk up Rondo!

He was much to skinny to containt the stronger PGs. And now maybe he'll be more inclined to play positional defense during the playoffs.

I don't think you can just dial up strength level especially with the running and fitness component of NBA ball. Your natural body type dictates alot of your build. Without chemical help - Rondo will likely always be an ectomorph type.

I'm surprised there is no mention of Big Baby. If there's any Celtic I'm concerned about, it's him.

I'm excited about this. Rondo has a lot of potential as a finisher around the riam and as someone who can get foul shots, but that was greatly impeded by his size the last two years. Also he strikes me as having the sort of body that can put on bulk without really being that bulky.

Rondo took a lot of hard fouls going to the rim last year. In some games, he was knocked around pretty hard and looked like a rag doll.

I think the extra muscle will help him to survive the 100 to 110 games a year it takes to win a championship.

We have bingo. Given his quickness, Rondo needs to go to the hoop and FINISH there. Muscles should help.

He looks about the same.

Rondo looks cut, Pierce looks skinnier, and I don't give a **** what KG looks like so long as he keeps that burning passion and desire to win alive.

Thank god everyone came in good shape. Remember all the talk about Pierce and how he was partying too much? He looks good to me. Paul will never be ripped, he looks good though.

The postional defense doesn't involve Rondo and PG A pushing one another back in forth in a strength contest. It involves PG A pushing Rondo around.

So, by increasing Rondo's weight he therefore has more mass. And the more mass Rondo has the harder he will be to push around. I agree with the body type that's why I beileve that with our training staff there is no way Rondo will ever loose any of his quickness of any significance via some natural weight gain.

You are always going to see bigger stronger players matched up against thinner weaker ones. How is this different from worrying about KG's weight? Whatever comes within reason (healthy eating habits, good workouts) is where you want to be. I think Rondo is fine but I think he will always be weaker then a guy like Billups.

... and therefore it's a good thing that Rondo is now 7 pounds heavier. It's an improvement. If KG could legitatmently put on weight like Rondo has and not lose anything that'd be a good thing too.

IMO the only diffrence between KG and Duncan is mainly 40 pounds.

Psshaw. This isn't the popular sentiment but I would rather have KG. KG is more athletic and a better shooter. I wouldn't want KG to gain 40 pounds be like Duncan. Not that he could. He doesn't really have that body type.

I personally would rather have Duncan. Mostly because amazing Centers are so hard to find and good PFs are in abundance.

Someone like Odom or Jamison.. hell even Haslem looked really good next to Shaq and he's just a taller version of Powe with a J.

Perk is a decent compliment to KG because he guards all the Centers or tough post threats. With Duncan it'd be inverse and we'd need someone who is althetic and rangy like Sean Williams of the Nets (albeit a much more polished version)

But I"m just happy we have one of them. Hopefully our backup Center can be a legit one this year and KG will have a real compliment and kept at the PF postion where he belongs.

Honestly I haven't done it in years but I got the urge to mess with the rosters and force 2k9 to trade something like Pierce for Duncan and just laugh as I play it. They both are such great passers and their style of defenders, they both have that range and they would compliment one another so well. And also I think Duncan is actually a little bit better defensively but then again they are two diffrent type of god defenders ya know?

That's what I was thinking too.

Where's the ankle support?

Why is he wearing Ballet shoes?

That is what I was thinking too... for ectomorph body types... less workouts and more rest and food equals muscle gains. In Rondo's case... he can forget it because of 100+ games he will be playing this upcoming season... (crossing fingers)

Besides... I would be interested in what kind of diet Rondo was following to gain those 7 pounds...

Apparently there was a a sale on womens shoes at the dollar store that Scal coudn't pass up. Hopefully, another team gets to enjoy his frugality very soon.
