wait, which Jeff Foster are you talking about? the one who has absolutely no offensive game to speak of? the one whose only discernible NBA skill is rebounding (and per 40, Powe is about equal in that regard anyway)? the one who makes over $6mil this year?

Powe has equal or better stats, a more developed offensive game, and the ability to be a go-to post guy which is damn rare in this league. He is also amazing at drawing charges, only one behind Pierce on our team (in far fewer minutes). Oh, and Powe is still young an improving, showing up big in last year's playoffs, while Foster is pretty much on the downside of his career.

Foster got to play more mins last year on a crappy Indy team, but don't let that fool you. He is not very good. On our team I doubt he beats Powe or even Glen Davis for minutes. About the only thing he has going for him is that he's a "veteran", but I don't this he's particularly savvy ala Pose or PJ.

I'll give you that Powe is better offensively, but on the defensive end there is no comparison. Plus with Perk having that shoulder injury this would be GREAT insurance. And you GREATLY over estimate BBD, he isnt that good.

Hoopshype list Foster as having a player's option. Did Indiana extend him?
