Oden (port vs. sac game)

Post#1 » by Youth4Glory » Wed Oct 8, 2008 3:13 am

Oden looks very strong and big coming into the season, showing no signs of the injury really. Some nice put back dunks, lots of teams are going to have trouble matching up with him. Wanted to let you all know im watchin it online, pm for a link can't wait for the game tomorrow, go celts

Not sure who the odd man out is

Giddens- struggling in practice to learn plays, guaranteed money tho, deep at pos (redundant with walker?) trade for a future 2nd?

Pruitt- very little mention of him besides doc saying 4 pg may be safe, has not played a lot, minimal $

Davis- Not much mention of him in reports, not getting any better? conditioning issues, trade for 2nd?

Scal- Expiring deal is a reason to hold on, but little on court value, essentially is an extra roster spot now worth his salary, imo yes.

Miles- Article hints he might not be buying into system, ankle issues, doc says he has no expectations of him, i'm rooting for him tho want his athleticism on team

Cassell- contract is guaranteed, makes no sense cutting him if he's gonna become a coach with doc next year

In my opinion trading Giddens or Pruitt for a future pick might not be a bad move, Davis has value as long as perk has a nagging injury. I don't see Cassell going anywhere, and i expect us to just ride Scal out. I spoke with Jeff Twiss when the Celtics came to Burlington, VT a few weeks back and he said Miles would make the roster.

just a few thoughts, hit me up if u want portland sac game link

oden is beasting. just blocked a spencer hawes dunk attempt. he does look heavy though, and it is affecting his mobility. it will take him awhile to get back in shape.

I think the odd man out will be either pruitt or miles.

that block was disgusting, He should definetly lose some weight, but thats a good sign that he looks so good with that much weight on the knee. He should stay on the larger side to give him an size/muscle advantage, hes almost shaq like. he'd out muscle bynum, shaq and duncan out west where thats needed

Oden looks equally impressive tonight, 14pt and 9R (5 0R) half way through the third. The guy is huge and can dunk seemingly at will a la magic days shaq.

It really is a shame that Seattle lost their team, it would have been a great rivalry for the northwest, Durant and Seattle vs. Oden and Portland. Oh well, can't wait for the celtics to play the blazers, they look dangerous.
