Anyone with DishNetwork have NBA League Pass???

Post#1 » by shackles10 » Thu Oct 23, 2008 3:39 pm

I have DishNetwork and have had the League pass for the last 3 years. I always get a letter saying it will be automatically renewed for me at the renewal price unless I call them before a certain date to cancel. This year I got no such letter so I called really just to make sure I wasn't going to get screwed on the price. When I called the rep. told me I was not on the renewal list and then when she went to try to add it for me she said it was not available yet. This was on Tuesday with the season being a week away. I asked when it would be available and when she did some more research she said she didn't know if it would be available even and said maybe they were doing negotiations on it?? Right now all of the League Pass channels are on my guide and I've been able to watch every pre-season game so I'm not sure how the regular season wouldnt' be available to anyone in less than a week now. So did I get a clueless, lazy lady who didn't want to look into things for me or what?

Does anyone else have DishNetwork and already added League Pass or know anything about this? Someone, anyone, please respond ASAP.

Sorry but i have directv and when you go to the channel where you order the nba league pass it says you are authorized, maybe dish does the same thing? but it sounds to me like you got a lazy csr, call back and tell them to check your billing from LAST YEAR it should show that you were paying for the nba league pass, therefore you should have been renewed automaticly for this year.

I live in Waterford, Ct. I have Dish Network and I usually am on aoutomatic renewal for NBA League Pass, However I checked in to it this year after not receiving a letter or any info and its true Dish network is in negotiations for NBA League Pass for this year, The reason you are seeing the free preview and seeing the NBA TV lineup is because they are still working on the old contractual agreement which would end at the start of this upcoming season. I am not happy with this info at all. Dish Network should have taken care of this by now.

So have you heard any at all if the chances are good they will get it resolved by the start of the season? The only reason I even have Dish is because ChiSox games are local for me here in Indiana, whereas, Cardinals and Reds games are local with DirecTV, but if it means I can't get Celtics games through DishNetwork I'll suffer through only having limited Sox games on WGN.

I think I might check the general board to see if the broader fanbase there has more info.

Ugh...league pass is the only reason I have dish network at all, and by that I mean the only reason I have anything other than over the air broadcast TV.

I have dishnetwork and was also wondering why I did not get a letter in regard to the upcoming season...That would really suck if they dont work it out....Lets hope 4 the best.

I checked my online statement and there is no mention of me having the league pass for this season...ARGGGG
Look at those Bobcats......There laying on the floor!!!...Improbable

There's good information on the general board from a guy who's been very pro-active in getting some answers on this. He even lists a phone number to the part of the NBA offices where such things are worked out. Hopefully, if enough of us bug them and call that number they'll do something quick. In reality they have to do something quick because the season starts Tuesday. I'm switching if they don't get this taken care of.

Has anyone heard anything new? As recent as last night I checked their site and still says stay tuned for next season when you go to the season sports packages. Really it's a bunch of **** for them to have the service listed in multiple places on their site but not have it available to customers, and I told them as much in an email. Also if you go to the League Pass channels (560-572) it shows no upcoming games on any days. I'm calling them again on my lunch break, but I'm pretty pissed because it looks like I'm on contract for a few more months because I moved last year.

I don't know, but my NBAtv is still active, and the Chicago/Milwaukee game is listed tonight (no HD though...bad omen with regards to HD for the rest of the year IMO, probably more of the same).

Anyway it still lets me tune to the Chicago/Milwaukee, so it looks like either my subscription from last year or the free preview is still active at least.

I've had games show up as well, but I don't know if it's the free preview or not. I called on Tuesday, but haven't had time to call to try to activate to see if it's really resolved now. My only doubts are that the games don't show up for the next day even. It seems like they are added to the channels pretty last minute.
