I love Bird but what's the point of this thread? Everybody knows he is one of the all time greats. By the way you talk though I doubt you were around to even watch a real game of his.

We all know that Bird is one of the greats and all love him...

but plenty of people on here continue to parrot the NBA party line of "Michael Jordan is the greatest ever and no one else is even close." (Except Kobe??? They seem to like to say now.)

Which is absolutely an insult to Bird, Magic, as well as Russell, Wilt, and Oscar Robertson.

Bird gets my vote. Better shooter, rebounder, and passer than Jordan! With Magic and Russell a close second. Honestly I'd put Jordan a hair behind all 5 of those guys. A strong argument could be made for any one of the 6 though.
