Powe's not going anywhere...

Atleast not this season.
Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...

Allen may not be looking too great in the first 3 games, but I think some are underrating what he does for Boston. Some would say he was the Championship MVP last season, and I question whether the Celtics win it without his shooting. I just can't see him being traded this season.

Sean Williams was upset that the Nets picked up his option even tho he asked Thorn not do to so, but the Nets still did.

Williams is a Ainge type player so I'm hoping for an early Christmas present in 1 Sean Williams.

It could be that Boston will have to take, for example, a bad contract that's for three years in exchange for Scalabrine's two-year contract. A deal like that.

Aingle might have to take a worst contract to make Scalabrine's contract seem "OK" to the other team. Hey, Ainge signed him... Fans were jumping off the Charles River bridge the day he was signed. So, it's his fault. I know some will say that there weren't many free agents interested in Boston at that time. However, Ainge could've thought better then.

We definitely wont have to take on a longer contract to rid us of Scalabrine. At the trade deadline, He will be owed around 3.5-4 million dollars until the end of his contract. If we give the maximum 3 million cash and big baby that can offset his salary. We have a chance of enticing a team to give us an expiring . I honestly think Charlotte makes a lot of sense. They are desperate for a PF. He is better and more importantly healthier than Sean May. May becomes our 3rd PF and expires at the end of they year. Baby sadly would start for Charlotte in a conventional lineup.

A many for 1 trade would make a lot of sense for us this season. Thing is, I just can't see Danny making any deal that doesn't bring back a legit 3, or a 6'10+ center.

It would really be clutch of DA to do the following:
- secure PJ's return, shoring up the biggest area of need
- package 3 of (BS, TA, GP, GD, rooks/pick) for a veteran 3. Gotta be a 3pt shooter.
- activate Cassell to back fill at pg.

I do think the Celts need another piece to get over the hump to 18. How to get it? I don't know... It won't be easy.

Travis Outlaw is in a two-year deal at $4M a season. He could fit in Boston if a workable deal could be reached with Portland. Either Davis, Powe, Pruitt or Giddens might have to be sacrificed along with a swappable salary (likely Scalabrine). Any two-player combination of Scalabrine and one of the four aforementioned players works salary wise.

From this, Portland saves a tad by exchanging for the lesser two-year contract of Scalabrine. I would think, Portland could use help in the front court with Oden temporarily on the shelf. Davis or Powe could aid them there. Not to mention, both would be expiring contracts which can free up some cap space for Portland moving forward.

Outlaw could provide Thibodeau another two-way forward with length to create mismatches on team defense.

Has all kinds of potential as a defender. Needs to recognize what an added measure of defensive intensity and awareness could do for his value as a role player.

Garnett could help him in that area.
