Concerning stat

After 3 games we are leading the league in turnovers! We were terrible at it last year but we somehow managed to get even worse this season. 20 TO`s per game, that is unacceptable.

We do force the other team to turn the ball over too, so our TO difference is only -1.66 but still we are one of the worst teams in this category.

The interesting thing is that Doc mentioned in his interviews that in comparison to last season we need to turn the ball over less but somehow we just can`t manage to do that. Of course, we have only played three games so far but when I see how careless we are with the ball and just how stupid some of the turnovers are that is definitely a major concern.

It's disgusting to watch ...

The start of the 2nd quarter we started with 3-straight turnovers.

Kendrick Perkins does some of the dumbest fouls I've seen in a player. I mean a team can be bringing the ball up the court in their own half and he's back on D holding an opponent's jersey and pushing them. Whistle - foul!

The turnovers need to stop, now! They're not even forced either.

stats mean nothing after 3 games.

You decided to wait until AFTER this game to check the stats. Well yeah, we had a horrible turnover night. It doesn't mean we're the worst turnover team in bball, yet. The sample size is tiny.

where were we ranked after the first two games?

Did you even watch us play last season? The problem is that last year only 3 teams commited more TO`s per game than we did and nothing has changed this year. It has gotten worse actually...

In 3 games this season we had 16, 20 and 24 turnovers if you are happy with that OK but I am concerned...

Birdman, I think one of the major issues is that our "catch-and-shoot" types are attempting to be creators instead of finishers from the outside. That is one issue. The second issue is that our ball-handlers are spitting the bit when the pick is coming. It is easy to blame the big men but if the bigs aren't in position yet, the guy with the ball has to wait for the pick to set. Lastly, there have been an unfathomable amount of ball violations this season (traveling, mostly.) I am sure that is skewing things a tad, as well. And this isn't even getting into the poor performance in the pick game. Egad!

Your point remains, though. Taking care of the ball is of paramount importance.

So what's the big deal then? You are saying we sucked on turnovers last season, and now we still suck on turnovers...? and that's a problem NOW, because you are being reactionary.

Let the team settle into the season. After maybe 8-10 games then you can bring this stuff up.

We should be moving ball smoothly, but instead we have so many turnovers. Is this because of our wreckless play or that championship we won was a big fluke. Seriously, you don't see elite teams like Detroit, San Antonio, Mavs, making these stupid TO's.

3 games people. 3 games. 3 !@#*ing games. And the bitching starts already. How on Earth can you even begin to call yourself a Celtic's fan and even suggest the championship was a fluke Diesel? Being the best team after 100+ games can't, by definition, be considered a fluke. I really thought the reactionaries might take a vacation after last season, but I guess I was wrong. Maybe if we don't win the next 5 games by at least 25 points people can start calling for Doc's job again.
