Re: Victory Cigar?
My first thought is Ray Allen, for the sick stat line he had... But then I think Perkins, because between his own exceptional game, he limited Yao Ming to 4-14 shooting, 7 boards, and 0-0 free throws.
So tough...
...I'm not gonna vote, it's too tough, you guys decide.

Perk all the way. Ray was OK, but Perk gave us great D and timely buckets all night.

Re: Victory Cigar?
Ray Allen by a MILE.
When I checked the NET PER stat after 3 games, and saw that Tony Allen and Ray Allen were the only two players effectively shutting their men down (opponent PER's <1), I was shocked.
Ray gets a bad rap on D, he's busting his ass since he arrived.
Hands down came up big in this game.
Perk had his first good regular season game (about time), but it was more Yao's lack of agression, lack or confidence, and two early fouls that saved the day. Without those early whistles (definately could have gone either way), Yao plays out the first half with confidence and it's a whole 'nuther ball game for the Celtics.

Allen really carried the offensive load, nice to see him stepping it up. He gets my vote.

Despite all the conventional logic that says vote for Ray, I voted for PP. We sucked when he wasn't on the floor. Calling on the box score, we were -2 with Ray on the floor, -8 with KG on the floor, and a whopping +16 with PP on the floor (and he looked solid to me despite the low FG% - and its worth considering that without him, who does Artest guard?). Ray and Perk were awesome though too, and Baby was decent. Rondo was a little disappointing at times, but still provided a quiet 10/7/7 line.

Perk, His defense on Yao was key and that last block was just filthy, right back at him.

You have just been Perk'd!!!

Why do you think that Yao had that lack of confidence towards the end? He seemed pretty confident in the beginning of the game!!!

Re: Victory Cigar?
I voted Perk, amazing game from him.
Allen would have had it if he didn't foul out, as it would have been him taking the FT's at the end rather than House. Allen was HUGE in the last, but Perk just got the nod. Is he the best post defender in the league?

I had to go with Perk. The guy was just a monster down low. Played very good d against Yao and actually showed a jump shot.

I didn't watch the game. Was too caught up in the election.
Ray allen will get a vote from me though after looking at the stat line.

Re: Victory Cigar?
Hard not to vote for Ray, but I went for Perk. He turned a multi-time all star Center into a non factor. And I have to give kudos to Perk for taking and nailing his jumpers, that's long been something I think everyone was hoping he could add to his game.

I decided to get off the fence and voted for Perkins! The dude hit 4 for 4 on his jumps shots and made Yao Ming cry!

Re: Victory Cigar?
Ray is certainly worthy but go to go with Perk. Yao has been killing double teams and Perk made him a non factor especially on the glass one on one. Anytime the big fella goes for 15/7 on 7-8 from the field, most from outside of 15 ft, and 4 blocks you give him the Cigar or he is going to take it from you.

Ray, though I wish I could give it to him and Perk jointly.
