Why else do you think going back-2-back is so hard?

The Fakers will come back down to earth, too...just a matter of time. They blew a big lead to NO last night and barely won.

Wow.

I saw the "champs" win on a buzzer beater with Smith out, JJ shooting terribly, Horford in foul trouble all game, Hawks on the road AND on a back to back. We've been a top 3pt shooting team all year, this isn't the same Hawks team.

No need for quotation marks. The Celtics are the champs and the celtics won the game. So enjoy your moral victory while we enjoy the victory. I could care less if it took a last second shot to do it. A win is a win.

People don't seem to understand it isn't the *quality* of the win so much as the final outcome. This isn't college football. All that matters is the score at the end of the game.

So great, a moral victory and self-esteem booster for Atlanta...who cares? We won, period.

Other teams fans are still wildly bitter about the Boston Celtics winning the NBA Championship?

Yeah, I'm sure Josh Smith being out (and Horford being in foul trouble, Zaza getting hurt) had nothing to do with the Celtics playing much better inside. They were going against borderline NBDL'rs most of the night in the paint, they had BETTER do well.

^^Funny how even before Horford and Zaza were out of the game the C's had a double-digit advantage in the paint.

I get that Smith out hurt, but he is the only legit inside defensive presence the Hawks have. Horford is tough but doesn't defend well (see: game-winning shot by Pierce, Paul) and Zaza is a talentless goon.

Thank you, drive-through, try again, please!

So you admit our best interior defender is out and tell me to try again? Good one.

And, lol at Horford is supposed to be able to guard Pierce. Like that means he's a bad defender. And actually that was good defense on that play, Pierce just made a tough shot. I will admit that he struggles with KG though, he just can't guard him but he's an above average defender overall. Smith usually defends KG very well.

and vice versa. KG does better against players with build like him, rather then the Horfords who have an advantage streght wise.

Perk would do better being on him defensively, and offensively then a ZaZa or any large player like Perk.

This back-and-fourth about who's better is ridiculous. The Hawks are a hell of a team. Yes, we may not have played our best D and they had a once-in-a-season night of shooting 3's but they have heart, play as a team, were missing key players including their best post defender and the scary thing is that they're still young.

The Celtics are the better team right now and likely for the rest of the year but watch out for the Hawks. They get my respect. More respect than I give the new AI Pistons. They're definitely a top 4 team in the east and to do that from where they were just 2 seasons ago with no blockbuster trades is pretty phenomenal.

My first post in these boards and I want to congratulate all Celtics fans with a nice victory  Hawks gets thumbs up too, pretty good defence and insanely good 3's shooting in the last match (btw CSKA made 72% of 25 threes in Europe yesterday :D).

After usual slopy start, big 3 (well, big 2 that match) woke up and made the usual great comeback (I'm afraid one match they wont be able to climb from the hole they dig themselves into...). If Celtics would play all match like 3rd-4th quaters, they would beat all teams by 20+ points, not really needed at this point but will become crucial in playoffs.

I admit I'm loving passion and intensity of the games so far, every team is comming wanting Celtics blood and we get preview of playoffs almost every evening 8-)
Who would win one-on-one in HORSE?

Bird: Nobody beats me in H-O-R-S-E. Besides, Magic cant shoot.

Magic: Larry, you'd have no chance against me one-on-one. I've got too many ways to beat you. Plus, as slow as I am, I'm still faster than you.

not only does Smith play great defence on KG, but Josh is also able to score on KG with ease. remember Josh is one of the very few players in the leauge who is not affraid to go straight at KG because of his athletism.
