It could and I wish it did for me. Personally, it's actually a struggle for me to find time to play because I live with my fiancee, who's not a sports fan or a fan of my playing video games. But then I guess no girl really is. Plus my job and all the social obligations... Sometimes I wish I can just hole up in my apt for a week and just play 2k9 and watch the games, but that's just a wishful thinking.
