MCDyess's Agents leaves a door open

Post#1 » by Kefa461 » Sun Nov 16, 2008 2:50 pm

McDyess, 34, can't re-sign with Detroit until Dec. 7 due to the 30-day waiting period from when the trade became official. "I think he should explore all of his possibilities and options," Miller said. "I could see him fitting (in Cleveland) with LeBron James and Anderson Varejao. I could also see him with Paul Pierce in Boston. He should take his time. He has talked about going back to Detroit. He should explore his options." McDyess' buyout was finalized last Friday. He got about $6 million of the nearly $15 million he had coming to him. His contract was worth $7.48 million this year and next, not $6.8 million as many wrote. He had a 10-percent trade kicker. That doesn't matter now because he cleared waivers on Wednesday. Morning Journal

I still don't think he is going back to DET. 7 mil bucks (the TK doesn't really matter) is a ton of money. Obviously if he is picking between minimum offers then DET is going to be a front runner but money talks and BS walks. His agent is going to keep talking about CLE and BOS because they offer him a chance to win championship and have the ability to offer him some cash that will not be coming from DET.

Would love him here. If we get him, it makes us a lot better and the Pistons worse; meaning better chance of another NBA Finals appearance.

I don't see it happening.

He's not best buds with KG
He said he doesn't want to be a ring chaser
He's earned millions and millions in his career
His family and him love Detroit
He's got a month vacation. lol

So with all that said. I think he's going back to Detroit.
