Tim Thomas is a similar player to James Posey, but he only has 2 seasons on his contract instead of 4. Plus he played with Ray and Cassell for a couple of seasons. Also the cherry on top of the ice cream for this deal is that we get rid of Scala.

the only players i want from the clippers are Al Thornton, and Kaman. Thomas is a career under achiever. plus i dont think him and Ray get along that well. I think Ray said something along the lines that when he was traded from the Bucks that Thomas should have stepped up and become the leader of that team and that he couldnt hack it.

Danny definitely needs to do something and I expect he will make some trades. We need a big and a SF.

Really? I never heard that one. Oh well I'm sure they could patch things up. Look at Perk and KG, those two used to want to kill each other when Garnett was on Minny.

Thomas would be a taller version of Posey, but without the defense and clutch shooting. Also without the quality veteran presence and willingness to play a small role. While this would solve our backup 3 problem, it'd create a new whole at the 2. In the long run, we'd probably miss TA's defense at the 2 more than Thomas at the 3. If Giddens or Walker were ready to take over for TA, then I'd say sure, but we wouldn't be ready to make that move.

I like Jordan more than POB with this team right now, in terms of what they could bring to the table in a year or two, but still, neither are likely to be factors and that doesn't really change the rest of my opinion on the deal.

I may just be biased to defense and shot blockers, but I believe in POB he could be a force to recon with in the paint in a up tempo game or fast break offense and could develop into a great counter of Kendrick Perkins...

I believe POB is very similar to Camby in size and ability. With Clifford Ray and Tom I believe in POB and one day he could be a big part of this teams defense. I would rather have POB and Scal as to have BBD.

I like POB and certainly feel he can certainly develop but BBD isnt turning into Sir BBD anytime soon...
As for T/A not being a favorite here but I think he has more value than thomas and a unproven center in like we have in POB...?

Whats the point of trading for Jordon? I would much rather just pick up P.J again mid-season or get someone like Stackhouse if he is still available.

Also is Zo finished? I am sure after the bill he got from Vegas he might want to play 1 more half a season.

Posey can be replaced on this team, but it's going to take some time and good coaching.
Walker looked as if he showed remarkable signs in preseason to being the man to take the place of Posey.

I am not sure why the kid, don't get 3-5 mins a game but imho he should be getting half the mins of BBD...

Nice the trades ideas are back.

As usual though, I'll pass on this one. :)
