not bad but booth is a stiff and as much as like Gomes he doesn't make us any bigger. I agree though that we're going to have to give up tony, leon or baby if we want to get anything of value back. i'd like to see what walker can do before we give up on him. we've given up too early on good young players in the past. scal of course can go at any time with my blessing and in fct I would fly to Boston just to drive him to the airport if that would help

Thats a great trade for Boston. Ryan Gomes gives us exactly what we need. A 3/4 game with ability to shoot the outside shot. Plus, Gomes can really do a lot more offensively. Not quite the defender Posey was. But I think he could fit in within the team defense. I know its early in the year. But Tony Allen is such a hot and cold player. We need another guy off the bench who can pick up the slack on TA's bad nights. Not sure that Minn wants to trade Gomes. But they really do have a lot of wing depth.

As much as I like Gomes I wouldn't do this trade. This trade would help us this season, but it could hurt us in the long run. Bill Walker looks like he could be really special and Baby works his big ass off whenever he's on the floor.

Thoughts on the trade proposal:

1. If it was ever offered, I think we would take it. Gomes is the best player in the trade and we open a roster spot which might save us a trade or cut later.

2. I think Minny values Gomes to much.

3. It would be great to have Gomes back though.

No way. What we gain in Gomes doesn't offset what Baby brings at backup PF and C. Our defense would be weakened at 3 and 5 and we'd only have a marginal increase in offense. Booth is non-factor. And Walker will end up being the best player of the bunch too. Another bad deal dreamt up in a vacuum.

Do we really need another outside shooter? Or do Eddie House (25% from 3) and Ray Allen (31% from 3) just need to start shooting better? Or maybe we should be giving minutes to Pruitt, who can actually run an offense and hit threes (as opposed to House who only hits threes...occasionally at that).
The leaks are real...the news is fake.

I'm just here for the memes.

No

I know Walker may not get much burn this year but I really think he's going to be a keeper and eventually make a bigger impact than Gomes ever has/will.
