Re: Our Bench Needs Help
The bench will help itself. Give them some time. Last year we dominated our games during November and December not because of the bench but because of the great starting 5. Our bench got better during the season and I am sure that will be the case now again.

Re: Our Bench Needs Help
Our team needs some practice time to work on the things that are lacking right now. That's the thing with intense schedules with travel and the like... you have no time to practice on the things that you need to improve. As someone mentioned teams are now giving Powe more attention than earlier in the season. But without practice the Celtics haven't been able to make the right adjustments.
I also agree with what Bruiser is saying. The starters need to get into a better groove offensively, which again relates to practice time IMO. Once this happens, the pressure is lifted off of the bench players to score and they become more effective. All of these slow starts have put a tremendous amount of pressure on our bench guys. That unit simply lacks the chemistry and rhythm to get the job done in these situations. I am a bit worried about the height of the unit as a whole but Danny is undoubtedly lookin into getting more veteran size up front.
Good discussion in this thread.
P.S. Can we please move on from the Posey thing? He was a really important player from LAST YEARS team. This is a new season and a new team. Let's just focus discussion on this team and how they can improve. Posey is not walking through that door and no about of sour grapes, complaining and b$tching is going to bring him back.

Re: Our Bench Needs Help
I think the bench will gel once we get some more games under our belts. It's only been 11 games and except for one guy being gone, it's basically the same group.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
