Danny at point?

Well i suppose the term is "lead guard" back in the day - Danny would frequently do PG "stuff" for the C's. Either way I think that sooner or later this Rondo scared to shoot bit will bite on him. I think it's absolutely hurting the team right now.

I agree with you, he does seem to have regressed somewhat over the summer. We all have seen that he's capable of doing better and of course he's still only 22, so I imagine they figure they can cajole him into a more aggressive shooting role like they did last year. Frustrating though.

And I bet Danny would like to see Doc use Gabe more again like he thought he deserved last year, but I'm sure he doesn't want to press Doc too hard, and Doc will get to it in his usual way. The way they've been playing they've won a lot, but closely, and Doc like any coach has been loathe to venture beyond his most trusted players.

I honestly and wholeheartedly disagree with the questioning of Rondo's ultimate future status with the team. I agree that he's been awfully tentative in the offense and putrid at the FT line but the tools are there. With Rondo it's all about the mental game, which is one of the most important elements of the PG position. He needs to play with confidence, take the open shots, and start to improve his % from the line. When that starts to happen we'll see the leap in his game. He's still a young player and IMO he's suffering from a lack of focus as much as the rest of the team. I still see this as a season where he will eventually flourish and even if he were not to improve there's no way that the Celtics would look to deal him this early in his career.

^^^ Rondo's a talent. But you don't hand the keys over to your best race car to a talented driver if he keeps crashing that car into a wall. Ainge and Doc have shown patience but you still have to earn your right to drive on our team.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing how she drives for a few laps with Pruitt behind the wheel. The big race isn't here yet - so it's not going to matter.

Maybe it was the 7-8 beers I was having each game, but I don't recall TA having any big moments in the playoffs other than the reverse alley oop jam during garbage time in Game 6 vs. the Fakers.

He was looking good in the second quarter of game 5 but they didn't use him after that.

James Posey is not the reason behind nor the answer to any of these questions

Thank you...this is exactly it...ONE GUY, a super-sub, yes, but a sub nonetheless, is not going to torpedo this team!!

I'd be open to this...perhaps it'd be the wake-up call to Rajon to get his **** together and develop a shot!
