I wouldn't mind Boston securing home court advantage throughout the playoffs this season and really making a statement to both of those teams, if the Celtics face them, and the rest of the eastern conference playoffs participants. Should Boston fail to clinch it... I hope they still have an attitude that whether we face you at home or on the road. We're coming for you... As to say: We don't have the targets on ourselves. No, we're placing them on all of you, the competition.

These are the top five teams I'll like to see Boston stomp in a series if they were to meet.

5. Detroit
4. Orlando
3. Washington
2. Atlanta
1. Cleveland

Magic fan here:

Boston may meet three of your list in the playoffs. Washington is out.

Atlanta could stumble and emerge as the #8. Either Detroit or Cleveland will probably be the #4. Orlando will round out as the #2 or #3.

Many in Orlando are expecting an Eastern Finals run. So, something like Atlanta round 1, Detroit round 2, and Orlando Eastern Finals is quite possible.

No, I know... I listed the Wizards based on last season. Boston had a losing record against both Washington (1-3) and Orlando (1-2) during the regular season last season.

Obviously, it'll be a challenge to "stomp" any team you face in the eastern conference since a team can enter being hot. But, my point was I'll like to see Boston win these playoffs series, convincingly. That is, at least, before they reach the conference finals. But, the goal is to make it, return there and win it all again. So, I try not to look ahead, but, for now, it's fun to talk about the playoffs as going as you would prefer it to happen for your team.
