vs LA Lakers

Post#1 » by rambo_ortega » Mon Dec 1, 2008 4:29 am

I'm starting to get really excited for the lakers and celtics 1st game this season on christmas day and considering their nice respective records. The lakers look really scary even against quality team. I guess it's bynum and most of all their hunger for coming up short in the finals against the celtics. They have been blowing up teams the way we were doing it last year. Plus they look really efficient on offense and they run the break really well. What will be the deciding factor is how we will match up against them inside because that's how other teams really get uncomfortable with them. I hope our bench already develops to match up with the lakers deep rotation. I see us having a difficulty with this year's lakers team similar to how we were playing the cavs in the playoffs where they also had a very tough frontline rotation of Z,ben, varejao & smith.

The top teams this season are obviously the celtics, lakers and cavs in that order. And we have beaten the cavs already. Let's make a point to the Lakers that we can still beat them this time around.

Just having Bynum back helps the Lakers alot. Also Farmer has improved over last year and Ariza is healthy and playing really well. The Lakers have improved over last year and are beating the oppentents by a average of over 14 points per game.

As far as us, we are about as good as last year. But I think as the season goes along, we will get better. I feel that Rondo and Perkins will continue to improve because they are still very young and get the opportunity to play a lot of minutes. I also think that Tony Allen will get better as he is just finally getting his confidence back.

I also feel that Bill Walker should be about to contribute about 8-12 minutes a game and make an impact by the 2nd half of the season.

Already with the Faker talk. Who cares about them. We are better or equal to them at every single position. Who here remembers June? I do. I was there to see it happen.

^ Witnessed it too, although everyone knows that this year is a different ballgame. and I want us to repeat coz that's never been done since the lakers with shaq. We shouldn't allow them to spoil our attempt on another dynasty.

I think we'll win. This reminds me of a few years back when everyone thought the Colts would FINALLY beat the Pats after having a killer regular season...and they got stomped in the AFC Championship game in NE...
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

It's not polite to say it here, but no way Allen is better than Kobe !
