Good to hear about Walker. I hope he is ready to play a role in our rotation this season. Otherwise IMO we should sign a guy like Darius Miles or Linton Johnson or trade for a guy like Matt Harpring (not a desired target as he makes 6.5 mil next season). Its not that I think our SF situation is extremely insecure - we do have options considering PP will play a lot of minutes when it matters most, TA can match up with many opposing SFs, and I feel that KG can succeed @ SF in spot minutes. But I do feel Doc needs a slight bit more flexibility when matching up with competition. Doc is currently going through that part of the season where he finds a way to make Scal part of our rotation, but when games matter more Scal @ SF won't cut it 8 or 9 times out of ten.

It is really a pity we didn`t send JR or even Walker to Europe for a season. They would improve much more here than in some poor NBDL league.

It is no so much the quality of the competition but the nature of the playing style. Everyone is trying to show off to the big league teams, and are not focused on winning games. What results is a very disorganized raggedy style of play that is not team-oriented.

As a result, the key stats to watch on D-League players are Assist/TO, free throw rate, and shooting percentages. The fact that they both boarded well is natural because they are both athletic and there were a lot of shots taken.

The only things to take away from this box score that are important are that Walker was able to dish the ball a little bit, though it is disappointing that he didn't shoot a single free throw. Nothing particularly important from Giddens' line.

Walker just got a technical. He was yelling at Smush Parker, his coach told him that he's got to calm down if he wants to play in the league.

But, since that's the Clippers, that's an entirely different opportunity for a rookie than it would be in Boston.

That's what I was quietly hoping for as well.

I guess we were both expecting a bit too much.

At least the maturity seems to be there off the court.

Rivers might reduce the minutes of the starters, specifically Pierce, Garnett and Ray in the last month or so of the regular season. Then too, Tony has a tendency to get injured. Perhaps, Giddens and/or Walker will see a few games in playing single minutes.

Interestingly, Thornton will turn twenty-six before this season's over. Wow.

Giddens with 34 pts on 11/15 shooting, 12/14 ft, 7 rebounds 6 assists, 5 block shots, 1 steal and 4 turnovers. I know its dleague. But thats an impressive statline for a SG.

Don`t like the turnovers from Walker. JR really had a nice overall game.

They are slowly starting to put archive games up, so I will check this game when it is available to see how our guys are playing...
