It just wasnt their night, although O'B could have contributed more if played ~20 mins.
Who would win one-on-one in HORSE?

Bird: Nobody beats me in H-O-R-S-E. Besides, Magic cant shoot.

Magic: Larry, you'd have no chance against me one-on-one. I've got too many ways to beat you. Plus, as slow as I am, I'm still faster than you.

TA was really missed tonight for the 2nd unit. And Powe has been struggling. He needs to incorporate more finesse in his game instead of counting on getting to the free throw line every time.

Besides obviously missing Tony Allen,

I would have given all of Glen Davis' 14 minutes to Patrick O'Bryant.

Powe had 5 rebounds in 9 minutes,

Patrick O'Bryant had 3 rebounds and 2 points (1-1) in 2 minutes,

the rest of the bench had 4 rebounds in 49 friggin minutes.

Davis had 1 Rebound in 14 minutes, 0-3 FG.

Agree with everthing said. And Scal pretty much sucked on offense.
Hopefully Tony's ankle is better by Friday.

I'm not really all that surprised, given that TA didn't play and Powe only got 9 minutes. More than anything, tonight showed how important those two have been to the bench.

Oh, btw, anyone know what the deal is with Powe's declining minutes? He must be in Doc's doghouse for some reason, because he's now averaging fewer minutes than Baby (despite outplaying him in literally every aspect of the game).

There's a great line Thoreau has in "Walden", he says - 'The fault-finder would find faults even in paradise'.. Rondo just had a triple double, we had the schadenfreude revenge of beating a Jim O'Brien team AND hearing him openly admire the Celtics in the press.

If we had a great bench, we'd find something new to worry about - how much money will Powe want? Perk needs a jump shot; Garnett is too unselfish; the big 3's one-on-one games are going to get rusty with all their selfless deferential team play, will they still have it when it counts? Ray Allen's getting old! etc. etc.

I agree on both counts. However, Ray, KG, and Rondo were feeling it tonight, too...why would Doc sit them when they're red hot?
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
