You're just saying that because you guys gave Shaq to Miami. They deserved to win that series because allas Mavericks has no D.

Deep3cl is right, David Stern is rolling around naked in money right now. He's ecstatic to have the best franchises duking it out for the title again. Detroit and San Antonio are so boring. Tim Duncan has no personality and Rasheed has no heart.

Yeah really, did anybody actually enjoy the playoffs when the Spurs and Pistons dominated? How boring was it to watch Duncan hoisting that trophy every other year? I'm not gonna lie, I love watching basketball of any kind, but I can't recall sitting through an entire Piston playoff game this decade unless it was against Boston.

The Celtics & Lakers are doing the NBA a huge favor by being great again. Now everyone (fans & players) just has to do Men nationwide a favor and not take trash talking to the heart.

He's also thrilled at how the WNBA has become such a popular sport with males 18-35.

It was a great game that the C's could have won. Its the turnovers that really killed us. No offense to the Laker fans, but I'm still not scared. Congrats on the win, but its just one game. This will just add fuel to the fire. This rivalry's amazing isn't it?

i was going to say the same thing as cfan, great game last night, but im not overly concerned about the lakers

the Celtics imo didn't play well at all, they never established celtics basketball
turnovers, poor bench production, ray allen & eddie house were both off, Rondo being in foul trouble and we still had a chance to win until the missed defensive assignments down the stretch

Celts don't scare me honestly. I'm more affraid of a Healthy Rockets team if they can ever get their squad firing on all cylinders.

I'll be scared when the Lakers win a game in Boston.... They didn't win any last year's series, and it's doubtful a team that takes nights off like the Lakers will get home court advantage this year. Boston will have a tougher series against Cleveland...

idk, call it ignorance. But I don't see the Rockets ever getting it together. IF Mutmobo comes back to them then like the Lakers they'll just be too talented to write off, but unlike the Lakers they don't have one central leader to that team. Yao isn't it, McGrady is too emo for it, and Artest is too crazy.

The Lakers rekindled themselfs in my eyes as contenders yesterday.. but they didn't inspire any fear. They're long, but unlike CLE they don't play a style that abuses that length.

In my mind the title odds are

1) CLE [we just match up poorly against them and their length]
2a) BOS
2b) LA
3a) HOU
3b) SA (they seem to have depth but untold how injuries may play a role)

Amen bro that what makes it fun if you can "trash talk" but not let it affect you personally. I have good convo with plenty of guys here all the time weekly to tell the truth. And most here by now know that I don't even come with ill intent ever I just debate the facts that are relevant.

Again well said LucerneStDoggz.

No offense at all in fact two high powered combatants should never be scared to clash anyway, and like wise with the fan bases. And yes your right all it was is just one game..............nobody won a title yesterday.

Laker fan here

I'm not going to lie. It felt good to beat you guys yesterday.

That said, it's still only one game and you guys are still the defending champions. We have a lot to prove before we can talk championship, notably winning a game in Boston.

Anyways, looking forward to the next meeting.
