Do we have a chance at David Lee?

Knicks don't want to sign him in 2010. He's not really a vet but he gives us more size, a guy who can finish around the basket and protect it on the defensive end. I'd love if we got him but is it even realistic?

what would we trade for him. Im not trying to make this a trade Ray thread but he is one of the few players on our roster the knicks would be intrested in. he is a go to scorer they could use and more importantly to the knicks he expires in 2010.

He will earn too much to be an asset with a positive performance/cost-ratio.

I'm a fan of his game, but what on earth would we give up for him and why on earth would New York want to help us get better? You really don't see a lot of in the division trades.

Maybe we'd have the assets if we took Eddy Curry's fat contract back with Lee, but it would deplete most our active bench, so it's really not worth it.

I think we have the assets for a player like Redick but not enough to pry him away from a direct ECF rival.
