Doc and his strange lineups...

Ever since Tony came back our bench just doesn`t function anymore. Doc is putting one stupid lineup on the floor after another. This loss today was his making.

At the end of the first quarter he had a lineup of Rondo, TA, Ray, Powe and Perk in. That is zero spacing, who is going to score with 4 non-shooters in the game? Obviously, the spurs made a run. At the start of the fourth he puts House in when KG is on the bench. It makes no sense...

KG had Bonner on him and we couldn`t go to him in the post because they double teamed off Rondo. And House only played when Garentt was on the bench and we had no inside game...

And against the lakers House was hitting everything but didn`t play in the fourth quarter...What was Doc thinking, I don`t know. The funny thing is, he made great decisions against NY! He had Eddie in instead of Rondo, we went to KG in the post and it work perfectly!

Now, why can`t Doc consistently make good decisions?

I just hope TA get`s traded because he is our biggest problem. Pruitt, House, Pierce (Ray) lineup works much better than House, Tony, Pierce (Ray) one...Even Pruitt, House, TA is better that playing a Eddie at PG and TA at SG. I just can`t understand why Doc is forcing this..

Hopefully, Danny does something because the way the team is constructed now the bench just doesn`t function and the bench players are forced into playing unsuited roles...And Doc is just too stubborn to change something even though it doesn`t work!

or something but he just dont got the personell to work with mang.

I do agree you gotta give your starters rest, but you need players that can stick an open jumper. I mean wouldn't it be nice to bring pierce off the bench in a pure ginobili playmaking role, while starting a spot up shooter who defends? But you need the personell.

As long as Tony is in rotation and we will not add real pg we are in trouble..Doc will remain playing House/Tony/Pierce rotation.

The second thing is we have no one on the bench who can create by himself...we really need Marbury

And also one note

Doc in broadcast before 4th quarter said:" I hope we stay close in game in next 4 minutes than we have a chance".

Our team just has not got confidence in our bench...and against the best teams our bench costs us games...

Tony Allen is one of the most useless 4-5 year vets in basketball. Dribble around for 5 secs then try to drive right to the basket. Ball movement killer. Really, what has he learned in 4-5 years?

agree, TA destroys the offense. Can't shoot. So that leaves us with no perimeter game when he and eddie are out there together

our best lineup this year was with scal at the 4 and kg at the 5. Why? because that was most like our best lineup last year when we had posey. danny thank you for number 17 but why oh why did you let posey go. what a dumb move that was. it's just killing us!!!

Well, height (helpless trying to defend Gasol in the paint minus Garnett) killed Boston against the Lakers and shooting (Bonner got hot and players didn't rotate) killed them against San Antonio. I don't think that's Rivers' fault. I'm not defending him. However, the Boston reserves are what they're: average to adequate. Still, Rivers could get the best out of them if the right combinations are employed. But, inconsistent play game after game hurt confidence and production. For one thing, I don't like when Davis becomes a shooter as oppose to going inside.

I agree that our bench isn`t good but it could be utilized better.

A huge problem is that as a champion we have Giddens and Walker (2 rookies), Pruitt and POB on our roster who are basically useless for a contending team! And if we add a semi retired Cassell to this group, we end up with only 10 players who can actually contribute to a NBA team.

Where are the role players, veterans, minimum players that can help us win games? Guys who know the game, are experienced, guys you don`t need to develop?

Danny had a horrible offseason and I am worried that time is running out. We lost Posey, PJ and we added nothing. We were convinced that TA can compensate Posey`s departure but he has been horrible. Lakers and Cavs have gotten better and we have gotten worse!

I've to disagree. Why is it that a young player such as Pruitt or Walker are useless for Boston? But, yet playoff contending teams like San Antonio (George Hill and Ime Udoka), Cleveland (Daniel Gibson) and Philadelphia (Marreese Speights), for example, manage to find success from their younger reserves. Even borderline playoff contending teams such as Milwaukee (Sessions and Alexander), New Jersey (Ryan Anderson) and New York (Wilson Chandler) you can say the same for. Therefore, I don't believe the young players are useless but more ineffective do to the lack of experience and opportunity. But, you won't know if you don't take chances and simply sit on these young players (well, maybe you sit on O'Bryant) and then decide to play them in an effort to trade them as oppose to seeing what you've before it's too late. I'm not saying Pruitt's the next big thing. However, I've seen enough from him to believe he can carve out a niche in the league if he continues to progress and work hard and maintain a positive attitude.

Oh, speaking of Cassell, I recall he was a rookie and contributing for a Houston team that was lead by veterans. Houston would go on to be back-to-back NBA champions. Some young players can have a place on a championship team or a contending team aspiring to win a title.

I am just saying we have too many of them. We should have 1 or 2 young prospects but 4 guys who we need to develop and can`t seem to help us right now, is too much.
