GASOL IS KEY

Post#1 » by War of the Lamb » Sat Feb 7, 2009 1:03 am

Hold Gasol under 15 ppg, party over!

PP did great job on Kobe and without Gasol they don't beat us.

Odom never shows up in playoffs.

Find a way to contain Pau and Lakers are history.

By the way, how Ray does not go to line at end of game must be some
kind of NBA way of creating interest.

Pick your poison fellas

Celtics fans would be saying absolutely nothing if it was the Lakers who missed the last shot.

Stop acting like the victims please. It must be tough to be on the receiving end of a bullying.

I'm sick of Celtics fans and the players complaining. I don't remember champions acting like that in the past.

That game had more to do with us than with the Lakers.

We didn't hit jumpshots.

We didn't play defense (refs made it hard).

Pierce missed key free-throws.
Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...

yeah because the lakers hit all of their freebies. this game just proved what alot of teams already know. if you push the celtics back they can't take it. outlaw from the blazers said the samething a while back. the cavs know this to be true, and now so does the lakers. the lakers played horrible, and still pulled it out. let's just hope both teams make it back to the finals,so this can be settled once and for all.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

The ONLY thing these two games against the Lakers prove is they wanted it
more. They are so depressed over the blowouts in the finals they have come back on
a mission. The Lakers and their fans are out trash-talking us. Its like if they don't win its
the end of the world. I understand this to a point, but emotions can help you in the
short run and soften you in the long run

Personally, I think they will be emotionally spent by the playoffs. It is true, you never
want to get too high or to low emotionally. You need to be super competitive but
with the emphasis on being even keeled, super focused, and staying with what has been
successful. If you let your personal emotions get the best of you, you run the risk of
playing outside the team concept with the obvious consequences.

I love the maturity the C's have displayed the last two seasons. They trust each other,
they stay focused, and they stay away from thinking its about me.

We are right where we need to be.

I agree. As long as it all doesn't end in a tie record-wise, I am fine having lost twice to the lakers. Momentum swings back and forth. It is not the end of the world. People were saying last year that the Lakers were favorites to beat us. Perhaps it is good for us to be the underdogs once and a while, especially against such a good team.

Any one who honestly believes the Celts fold is a dumbass.

You don't win 66 games, erase 20 point deficits, or win chips being pushovers (ex: 08 Lakers). If you want to see a pushover watch game 4 of last yeara finals. A 1 point loss hardly proves anything except one team got lucky. Also consider the fact that Garnett didn't play crucial fourth quarter minutes and no OT. The Lakers one two tough games, both in which the Celtics played like crap. Don't try and down play the Celtics as if they haven't proven themselves before.
