In a game just last week against the Bobcats Kobe fouled out with about 2 minutes left in regulation for an absolute touch foul. So there goes that theory huh?? Go watch it if you don't believe me.

Not against us....... 8-)

The Bobcat's....... Maybe you come back from that....From the Cav's....Spurs.....Magic....Hornets. Someone at your supposed level...... 8-)

I slept on it and here's mornings thoughts before I leave the house.....Pau 1 foul.....KG fouls out..and as we all know the foul call was terrible....only the 2nd time this year (Cleve game was the 1st... funny huh) but I digress....My question is this.....Would the Refs foul out Kobe in LA in a game like this????? I say no.....the proof and I have not checked it, I guess it is in the stats somewhere.

8-)

DIscuss is or not..... 8-)

Come on Kefa, you of all posters.
But FYI yes, Kobe has fouled out of games when the game was on the line.
Just recently on a Ticky tack call against the Bobcats, and we did endup losing that game.

This was a possible last meeting between both teams this year.....the refs were bad for both teams. Stern had a **** crew.....both teams deserved better. The refs determined the game not the players....the call KG out on the play was a terrible call and I would say the same on behalf of Kobe but.....I know Kobe would NOT have had that whistle blown on his home court on the same play and you know it too. Not that ticky...tack.after getting whacked twice himself on the same play and the flop that was whistled on...it was bullcrap. So your team got the call...thats how it goes. I know that but......I also know starpower goes a long way and that call does not happen in LA on Kobe. 8-)

Ticky-tacky fouls don't affect the opponent, Fisher's handchecking on Ray did.

NO NO NO to answer your question!!!

When you put up illegal screens on 1 of every 2 plays especially for Ray Allen to hit his open 3's, you've got a case to make. That's not a ticky-tack foul, that's 3points right down scoreboard!!!

When your team hacks and fouls every time and pushes, it's called toughness and good defense, and your response is: "Well if Refs don't call it, we should take advantage of it!" But when you get pushed and touched and your player SLIPS on the last play, it's: "The refs...."

Ray was hand checked the whole play by Fisher.....the refs decided NOT to call the foul BUT it WAS a foul. 8-)

And that is really the only point that matters, and the reason why the NBA is tagged as the worst officiated sport in every poll you see.
Full of sound and fury; signifying nothing

Allanon wrote:The better question is why the Celtics let the refs decide the game? The Celtics were in Boston playing a Bynum-less Laker team on the second night of a B2B in Canada.

The Celtics should have beat the Lakers by 20 if they wanted to make a statement. The game shouldn't have been that close, and as a result, the C's got burned.

Please....stop with the AB conversation......if you lose it will be the Lakers didn't have AB....if you win the Laker beat you without AB......you didn't lose Kareem......I feel for any loss...as a C we have lost players (to death, rather then injury) so I feel. Game are determined most of the time by the whistle,
flow of the game.....this game was by the whistle. 8-) It's all good...but it is what it is..... 8-)

Whiners for fans?

I never thought I'd see the day where Celtic fans would cry about a game in their own gym.

It's tough to watch your team grow old, but in another 20 years you might win another.

I mean really, when have you ever seen one of them foul out of a game considering how physical both are on both ends of the floor. I hate to admit this, last year the world wanted to see Lakers -Celtics, this year I think they are pushing for Kobe and Lebron.

I laughed when I read this because it's so funny...then I cried because it's so true..
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
